I can only assume it kills the actual functionality of the PS3, though (though I didn't see anything on the site that pointed either way).

Like with the "Smash my PS3" project, that could have been one family's merry christmas. It annoys me that, with such little supply of the system, people buy it and waste it.

It might still be playable, and that the system just runs /that hot/. You're able to fry eggs on a CPU afterall.

Heh, actually, I remember my friend telling me that after playing CoD3 for, like, a day, the blu-ray disc was bendable, and really warm. :P
