I watched an LP and it looks fantastic, sadly I can't afford it right now though.

Bought this last week, haven't had time to play it. So far I've done about...2 fights in the game, and it really doesn't hold your hand in anyway. Looking forward to spending some time with this game!

I've spent about five hours with it, and I think I'm going to walk away respecting and hating it in equal measure.  It's very intricate and represents a wonderful openness that's lacking in the genre.  At the same time, the game is brutal and punishes any mistakes, making me a part in many failed experiments when it comes to character building.  It's also way more linear than I think anyone is willing to admit.  Sure, you can spend hours stealing paintings and getting rich, but when it comes to leveling you have to seek out mobs that are close to your level or you end up hosed in combat.  I want to try a new set of main characters but I have little desire to spend so much time on this again.

Glad people like it, but I don't think it's for me.

Yep, I figured Dave would love it!  It's certainly impressive, but I think Wasteland 2 will be more my speed.

Looking forward to that one too.

In the meantime I just took out a whole mob of monsters 4 levels higher than me by luring them back to town and letting the legionnaires deal with them while I hid, piled up oil spells, and then lit the whole lot of them on fire.

Also moving barrels and stuff around to create awesome tactics/enemy funnels is absolutely glorious.

Waiwaitwait...a Divinity game that's actually good? Didn't I play a demo of one of them and it was the worst thing I had ever played? Now I have to look into this...

Yeah, I think it was Divinity II. Can't remember if it was the Dragon Knight Saga or Ego whatever, whichever one had a demo on the 360. But this looks completely different. Maybe I'll check it out once it's a little cheaper, since I can't really spend money at the moment...

It's a fantastic game, the praise and hype is well deserved in this case. I'm impressed by the class(less) system and the many ways you can manipulate the battlefield to your favor.

Soundtrack is stellar too.

I think I like a little more structure in my character classes, to be honest.  I have a tendency to dabble in a bit of everything when given this much choice, and it's leading me into serious trouble with Original Sin.  It's like a big 'ol chemistry set of player choice and agency, but it leaves me feeling very overwhelmed.  That's more my own individual style than a fault of the game, though.

I will never ever understand the notion of too much choice/ ability to make bad builds as a negative. Just does not compute.

Edit: I also realize this is an old debate

I've missed this game, anyone can point me to a well representing Youtube of it?
Sounds like there's a lot of fan for it already.
