You're only now getting that? I feel like I've failed in my duties as RPGFan's Ambassador of Metal. :P
Speaking of failure, I bought a new copy of Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell" to celebrate their upcoming reunion with Dio, albeit under the name of that very cd instead of Sabbath. What's the failure, you ask? That it took this long, baby. :P

Blargh, Hawkwind tickets were 17.50 each, so weighing that up with A) Moving this weekend, B) Wanting to see Martin Walkyier Sunday, and C) Being poor, we didn't go. :(((((((
But I did pick up a copy of War Master by Bolt Thrower. Good stuff.
I actually bought it from a local shop for seven quid as all of my recent Amazon purchases all have fucked up. Behemoth was "deleted from the supplier's list" and we didn't find out until we told them we wanted our money back. I has been "processing" for three or four months. And Morbid Angel... Is lost in the post. If it's even been sent at all.
Totally fucking fed up with buying CDs online.

Picked up a copy of the complete Red For Fire, Black For Death: An Icelandic Odyssey by Solefald. It's split into two albums Red for Fire and Black For Death. AMAZING. It's a concept album based on an old tale from the Prose Edda/Poetic Edda.
I don't want to call it black metal, but I suppose it's post-black metal progression with elements of all sorts of genres and instruments. If you're familiar with the band at all, it's the assimilation of previous albums into one epic adventure, both musically and lyrically.
If you enjoy metal with great song structures and equally good story telling, this is your next Iron Maiden (no direct reference to style). I highly suggest picking both up as they should be listened to as a whole. You shouldn't be disappointed, and if you are, you might be an asshole. Maybe. Maybe not.
Also after being broke for a long time, I finally started buying vinyl again. My true passion. Records!! Picked up three Agalloch LPs. The Mantle, Agalloch/Nest split 10", and Pale Folklore.

I had posted this in... The song of the moment thread for some reason.
I got the missus:
Rush - Caress of Steel
Rush - Signals
And the missus got me:
Deicide - The Stench of Redemption (yes very good for christmas)
Hawkwind - Doremi Fasol Latido
My Dying Bride - A Line of Deathless Kings
Rush - Roll the Bones
So five new Rush albums in the stretch of a weekend. Not bad.
