Okay ladies, you know what to do here.  This is where you share with us the cds you've bought as of late, and then we discuss your poor taste in music.

Me, I got My Dying Bride's "A Line of Deathless Kings".  It's literally just like everything else they've done. :P

No, DR, it's MORE dreadful than their other albums...!  Or not.  I like what I've heard though.

We ordered I - Between Two Worlds.

I got Blackfield - Blackfield. Sounds really good so far. Damn short CD though.

I need to stop ordering CD's. I have one more coming in the post, and that needs to be it for a few weeks.

I got Sufjan Steven's 5 disc Christmas box set. For the last five Christmases (how does one pluralize Christmas?), the man made homemade albums with some covers and some original material and sent it to his best friends and family. These would get leaked onto the internet very quickly, so people have had them for a loooong time. He compiled the five of them and released them this year for only $18 -- the box comes with lots of cool artwork, poetry, essays...It's good stuff.

There was something else I ordered with that...what was it...OH! Copeland's "Eat Sleep Repeat." Not as good as the last album, "In Motion."

Blur - The Great Escape

Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain: LA's Desert Origins

The Great Escape is a lot like Parklife, which is good. However, unlike Parklife, it's... well, it has a different mood. Parklife was like an outsider-trapped-on-the-inside making ironic, snarky commentary about the world around him. The Great Escape is more like trying to actually get out of all that and realizing there's no real exit, and so maybe instead just settling for something to stop the lonliness.

CRCR... I like it less than Terror Twilight so far, but I didn't like TT when I first heard it at all. So I'll probably end up liking this a lot. This has more of a Pixies leaning to it, while TT had more of a Verve-esque thing going on.

I bought King Crimson "In The Court Of The Crimson King", and Pure Reason Revolution "The Dark Third". Again, I was exposed to the latter because of you fine people. You're a danger to my wallet. :P Anyway, I'm enjoying it a lot so far. I love the melodic style of singing.

I pre-ordered Babyshambles - The Blinding LP

I wanted to get their single "Janie Jones", the cover of that Clash song, but the exchange rate ruins my life.

Good stuff.

I just bought Home Video - "No Certain Night or Morning", and i'm going to repeat what I said in the Song of the moment thread. If you like Radiohead at all, get this CD, it almost sounds like a side project from Thom Yorke.

Oh and I just bought The Shins's "Phantom Limb" Single. I'm so phsyched for the new album.

Cruachan "The Morrigan's Call". The best Folk metal album I've heard since Asmegin's "Hin Vordende Sod & So".

Antaeus "Blood Libels".
