Finally decided to buy "Capture the Magic" by Icarus Witch on iTunes.  Great tradional metal band.  Nothing innovative or original, but who says something has to be innovative or original to be good?

Amazing haul. You need to get Perdition City by Ulver if you haven't already heard it, it's one of my favorite albums of all time.

Ozzy Osbourne - Black Rain

It's fucking horrible.  Zakk Wylde plays no small part in this suckage.

As much as I love Zakk and Ozzy, I would have to agree with Darkrider. I'm not impressed!

Technically, my most recent purchase would be Eat Me, Drink Me...Manson's new album.

Unfortunately, it doesn't come out until June 5th. I have it preordered...but I managed to "find" a copy and give it a quick listen. It's just as divergent from his "trilogy" as Golden Age of Grotesque was, but I think it's put together a tad more skillfully.

Overall, I like it at this point...but I was also one of the few people who liked GAoG.
Honestly, I'm just glad we have new material from him.

Decent haul from the flea market today, some lady was giving away vinyl.

Ink Spots (Decca Records, 1946. 4 10" records. Unfortunately, one is missing, which I didn't realize until later. Oh well)
Nat King Cole - Ramblin' Rose
Nat King Cole - Love Is A Many Splendored Thing
Gladys Knight & The Pips - Still Together
The Beach Boys - Summer Days... uber-scratched upon further investigation :(
Merry Christmas from Lawrence Welk & His Champagne Music Makers (Box Set)

Pretty crappy haul actually, but oh well it was all free. This Ink Spots box set looks very interesting, but I haven't listened to it (or any of these) yet. I also had to snag that Lawrence Welk box set because it was in such great condition. I had no idea who he is but apparently he was some kind of TV personality in the 60s, according to my mother.... Whatever.

The Whitest Boy Alive - Dreams
Warm in the Wake - Gold Dust Trail

I'm really enjoying The WBA, it's from one half of The Kings of Convenience, and I love Erlend Øye's stuff, and hey this is a little more upbeat. Though I doubt anyone will care cause nothing I buy is ever metal. God, I don't even know why I post in this forum.

I stopped by a local record store on a whim and managed to snag a new sealed vinyl of The Velvet Underground's White Light/White Heat . I've not listened to it yet because I needed to finish the two books of poetry I was reading before I'd let myself. However, now that I've done that, I'm going to give it a spin in the next few days.

I am interested in your view on Snakes and Arrows, Los. I haven't actually heard it myself, but it seems to be very much a love it or hate it album.

I got Eluvium - Talk Amongst the Trees
