I also share the hatred of laugh tracks. It's why I could never get into the Flintstones. Even as a kid.
Seems all the decent modern comedies have been covered here already.


If you don't like that character then you probably won't like the show as a whole.

'Tis true. I'll bet the whole "never nude" thing would end it for good for Grim..., if he gets that far.


Also unfortunately not up Grim's alley (crude jokes and copious amounts of drug references/use): Workaholics. Yeah, some episodes are pointless and questionable, but some are downright hilarious. I love those dudes.

Frasier.

Good mix of intelligent comedy with slapstick humour.

I just finished watching all 11 seasons.

It held up quite well.

Exactly what I would have suggested.
I'll also second Scrubs.
