With the announcement of MM 3DS (fiinaally) I think it's time we gave a general topic (sorry if it's a bad idea).

YAY.

Maybe it's just me and the hype talking, but judging by the video, the graphics look like an improvement even over OoT3D
Trailer: http://youtu.be/Hj6cXziHpjQ

EDIT: A the moon looks EVEN MORE freaky!... just what we needed!!!  :S
*gulp*

EDIT 2: Flaming Rift.  Get you and your avatar in here.

I want to be excited. I really do. I do think it is a great game, but it is just such a commitment because of the save system. And I'm not sure that I have the time or the energy for that commitment. I suppose that sleep mode would help, and maybe they can tweak the save system a bit (though that may be difficult since it is also an integral part of the story). I guess I'll wait and see what other details there are before I say yea or nay.

Andrew has been summoned. Andrew uses Cucco Flare.

I'm very happy to see this, but not surprised at all after the inclusion of a Majora's Mask in ALBW. Definitely hyped for an excuse to play through this one again, and interested to hear what changes will be made. Having just played OoT, I'd say the graphics look about the same though.

Will get CE and after a normal play will do 3 heart challenge.

Jesus H Christ.  This has gotta be the most detailed official Zelda artwork I've ever seen.  Spoilers in it even (I think the case is only showing that blue top half though)

I'm apprehensive for this one too because I, like a good number of people, find that time factor pretty intimidating.  But the Sleep Mode and numerous guides may be just what I need....
(now, what I WOULD kill for is at least a way to stop time in dungeons, an "easy mode" if you will).

Yay 3 hearts!! :D
I saw it coming too, but I guess the question was when... and I liked that the trailer was more about random sights and those very specific MM-sounds than explicit imagery... anyone wanting MM 3DS enough probably knew within SECONDS they finally got their wish.

Yeah I'm not crazy about Amiibos.  They're cool in that childish collect-a-thon kind of way that made me buy tons of little toys or go back to Burger King a shit load of times when they featured Pokemon toys as a kid.... but eh.
Certainly doesn't help that (and obviously) the figures weren't nearly as pretty in post-production than as originally advertised.  c'est la vie....

I'll probably buy a few; or try to avoid it entirely if I can.

I just don't understand how people around here find MM problematic because of it's time system, yet FF13:LR stressed me out so bad I had to permanently put it down. I love MM.

... I thought I made a post bemoaning how I bought the VC version a year ago. HRM. Wonder where I put that.

Anyway, @ Prime Mover:

1. MM's time system got more manageable for me once I found out about the slow time song, also you unlock more Smack Owls and teleportings as you go.

2. Nobody was bothered by FFXIII-III's thing because nobody played FFXIII-III.

I never liked Majoras mask much, mainly due to the whole time thing. I play games super slow, and HATE being timed in any way. So, basically, there's no way in hell I would ever play this again. heck, I didn't even finish it the first time due to frustration.
My son, though, who loves Zelda games, has yet to try Majora's. I was considering getting him the VC version, but maybe I'll hold off now. Still, $10 is cheaper than $40, especially if he ends up not liking it.

I am with you Grim, the whole being timed thing bothers me in any game its why even though I think the atelier games should be fun I can't get into them because I am timed lol. But all said and done I didn't dislike Majora's Mask for that reason the main reason I have pretty much disliked it and every Zelda game after Ocarina of Time is they just have so much bullcrap to wade through. You have to catch bugs, run races,do almost impossible archery games and so much more Zelda games use to be about adventure not mini games. I didn't mind it for Ocarina of Time because it was my first time experiencing it in a Zelda game but every Zelda game after the amount of bullcrap has doubled it feels like and it ended my love for the franchise I never tried Skyward Sword maybe it wasn't as bad but I doubt it lol.

Am I the only person on this board who found the Inverted Song of Time, or at least noted that time doesn't advance on the Inventory Screen?

Seriously though, the only time the time limit had ever been a problem for me was going through the initial 3-Day cycle back when this had first come out since you really don't have quite enough time to really orient yourself with the town (especially since there is so much shit to do). Frankly, Sleep Mode alone is gonna make it easier to deal with having to put down the game for a while, nevermind what else they may have in store. Its too bad that I've already done the 3-Heart Minimalist Challenge on this one.

Anyways, the one thing I noted was that they changed the Clock UI into a timeline style one that kinda resembled what was used in the Bomber Notebook. Perhaps this will be used so that players can mark important events on the timeline itself instead having to learn how to read a goddamn analog clock face.

Also, here's hoping they implement some kind of means of instantly advancing the clock to midnight of the final day (and also some way of getting into Romani Ranch on the second cycle or at least Great Termina Bay since, without resorting to glitches, its impossible to do since you need to be there during the first day and clearing half the game is a bit much).
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.
