WII U GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE, WORLD MAP IS FUCKING HUGE

Edit: *squeeeeaaaaalllllll*

When the hell did Nintendo start getting involved with the VGAs TGAs? That defeats the entire purpose of the show being a massive Western Game Studio Circlejerk that I can safely ignore.

That said, hot damn that looks super nice. Also, I can't help but feel like the world map looks like a less waterlogged version of Zelda 2's map (like its still a super continent instead of two smaller continents).

Also, can I get a whoot for Star Fox and Majora's Mask!
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

That new Wii U Zelda footage!  I don't think I've been excited for a Zelda game in a loooong time.

Sorry, couldn't help it.

That game looks amazing, and so does the world map. I can see it now, though, now you need 8 pieces of heart to make a full one.

Man, if ya gotta do it, do it right and call it by its unofficial title of The Legend of Zelda: Skyrim Sword.

But no, seriously, there's been more comparisons to Red Dead Redemption than Elder Scrolls due to the Arrow Time Dismount and heavy Horsin' around.

Also "Real horses tend to not run into trees.", hear that Bethesda? That's the sound of a cast gauntlet. The ball's in your court now.

...to be fair, real horses also don't allow you to catapult yourself 15+ feet into the air and result in slow motion target aquisition... just sayin.

^ Perfect.
And so is this (especially if the 'roots' to the original Zelda's idea of 'exploration' is in tact)

I do hope they create some more exotic looking locations.  This was pretty but I'd love to see more!  ...It certainly doesn't help the footage was potato quality.

That's not Shin, or were you going for a Linkle there?

Goddammit. I knew they were sneaking an oldschool reference in there somewhere. I just didn't realize how literal they were going to take it.

Actually that'd be Rath from 7, I believe. Not that it matters. A Nomadic Trooper is a Nomadic Trooper!

I am excited for saddlepult.

You might want to another look at the image name again. Out of all four Nomadic Troopers (not including the Bow Knights and Rangers from the non-Elibe games), only one of them is female and she's the one with long green hair.

Map Quest Edit:

Have an image of the World Map.

The island in the bottom right clearly has the super-secret 100-floor battle arena.

Oh man! So glad I bought a Wii U. I've been wanting an open world Zelda game on a huge scale ever since Shadow of the Colossus showed me it was possible. And I know y'all are mentioning Skyrim and whatnot, but it looks more like Shadow of the Colossus to me.

I'm so excited to play it. I love how huge the world is!

Yeah, I'm pretty damn excited about this. I might even buy a WiiU when it comes out. There hasn't been any other reason to do so.
