Just been sidequesting and hunting down upgrades in Twilight Princess. Managed to get a new wallet, quiver, bottle, and bomb bag. I think I'm good to make my way to the next dungeon now.

Stayed up late playing Wii Sports. Fun, fun, fun. I just wish I had more than one controller :(

Tried a few hunts in FFXII and got my ass handed to me. I didn't get a game over, but after one hit took Balthier from 1500 HP to 50, I hightailed my way to the nearest save point and quit.

I'm really enjoying it, though. Travelling around the world is just more fun than I remember from other FF games. I <3 the license board. Also, I figured out a pretty neat trick for getting multiples of a fairly powerful weapon (45 attack, stronger than anything I can buy so far) for literally nothing:
Code:
In the Westersand, there's a huge wolf that's apparently a rare occurance monster (though it seems to appear once you hit a 2 or 3 wolf chain nearby); it's called a Linder Wolf or something like that. Anyway, it's not especially powerful or tough to beat and is only accompanied by 2 normal wolves in its immediate area (I forget exactly the name of the area, but if anyone needs to know, I'll look it up). It doesn't give many experience points, but does lend you 3 LP for defeating it. That's not the special part, though; what makes this particular monster stand out is that you can nab a Gladius by stealing from it. I don't know how useful that'll be later on, but right now it's helping me immensely; I have Balthier, Ashe, and Vaan all equipped with one and the others slowly gaining licenses towards it. The three mentioned have a 45 attack, at least. My next highest is 39 (Fran or something with a long bow, I think). That's putting it into perspective. If nothing else, it's a pretty quick road to easy gold. Sometimes it takes an usually long time to be able to steal one, though; it's easy to just set up gambits with Cure or Cura as priority 1 and Steal as #2. That way the AI does all the work for you.

Anyway, just thought that was nifty. Dunno if it helps anyone, but whatev :P

Just got Zelda for the Gamecube and after playing a few minutes, I'm already stuck. I'm guessing I need to capture that damn cat so that storekeeper will sell me the slingshot, but how the fuck am I supposed to do it? I knocked down that beehive thing or whatever, but I apparently need an empty bottle or something now...What. The. Fuck.

If you want a tip... You don't need a bottle. To be more in depth help:
Code:
You need to get the fishing rod from one of the people in the town, the woman with the baby. She should be in her home. After that, go catch a fish. I think you have to do it twice, since the first time only got the cat's attention.

Final Fantasy XII. Did some levelling up...

Code:
We've reached the tomb. It was my sister's turn at the controller and the Garuda freaked her out. We didn't have a chance to use the berries, we just used everyone's quickenings. :P
Everyone's now in the range of level 17 to level 20. We're getting better weapons, more items and such for whatever lies beyond.

No progress in SoTC yet. I want to start again on Beyond Good and Evil because I abandoned it ages ago.

Well, I'll be damned. I already got that fishing rod and I was trying to catch a fish or one of em bottles, but apparently I suck at it since I caught nothing. Bah...

Finished up MGS3 for the first time. I tried taking out the Boss with just stamina depletion, but that was impossible as I only had 14 rounds left and also lacking the sniper version you pick up after the End. Good ending!
I found the secret theater on Disc 2 to have some wicked funny movies, in particular the MGS4 trailer shown at E3 2005.

I just used CQF there to win by stamina depletion. Heck, I found it the easiest way to win anyway.

I bought Prince of Persia:  The Two Thrones for $20 yesterday, and it's probably the best $20 I've spent lately.  Seems a little easier than The Sands of Time (I missed out on Warrior Within, so I can't compare), but it's a hell of a lot more fun.  I'm not a big fan of the whole Dark Prince thing though, because I'm not fond of anything remotely resembling a timer.

Good stuff. :P

Zelda:  TP -  Yeah, I can't fish worth beans too.  I'm starting the third dungeon.

Okami - I am about to go to Oni Island. I was thinking of leaving the area to search for treasures and such(now that I have the cats paw technique), but I kinda just want to move the game along. 46 hours is long for an adventure game, and according to the map there is a lot more area to explore yet. I'm loving the game, but I've got FFXII and Zelda:TP waiting for me.

Same old same old. I played FFXII for another handful of hours today.

Code:
My gosh, the Ridorana Cataract is the most amazingly long dungeon ever (at least in this game, anyway). I've already spent, like, three hours in the thing, and am only two thirds of the way through?
Anyway, I'm saved just before the Third Ascent, and assuming I don't get too caught up with studying, I should be able to finish it tomorrow.

Z:TP -  I'm at the part where you have to do the freaking escort mission.  Gah!  I hate escort missions.  I've always have and I always will.

Prince of Persia:  The Two Thrones - Fuck that fight where you have to kill the dude with the axe and the asshole with the sword in the ring of fire.  It took me an hour (and enough deaths to shame DMC3) to get past that shit and to a save point.  It was one o'clock in the morning before I finally got past it, and I'm still highly irritable from losing that sleep. :P

Well, after getting all the heart containers and a bunch of other junk, I beat Zelda OoT. I was expecting way too much from the game when I originally played (like most of the crap I saw in early beta shots), and waiting for WW didn't help for my MQ replay. I'd say it's about equal with TP: If that had more side stuff to do, like an /optional/ trading/fetch quest, and wasn't overwhelmingly linear by Zelda standards, it'd definitely be the better game. As is, OoT's great and is just open enough to please me, while TP refines everything else the 3D Zeldas did to near perfection.

I think I like WW more than either though.
