I'd just prefer if they used their talent with 2d art to make a brawler or a fighter, to be honest.

HOLD IT!

Unlikely hero team Phoenix Wright and Maya joins the fray.

OBJECTION!

Also returning are Ryu and Ken (go figure) and Sakura and Gemini (who seemed to have played musical harem protagonist with each other). Looks like we're also getting a God Eater 2 squad and a pair of (guaranteed) support units.

Well at least they're getting more interesting characters involved now.

Now with pics.

I finished the original (gonna work on a review) and it's exactly geared towards someone like me. It's over the top, full of fanservice (both sexual and non sexual), and ridiculously absurd.

That being said, it dragged on way, WAY too long. 20-25 hours was the sweet spot. It lasted for 40...

http://www.siliconera.com/2015/08/06/project-x-zone-2-adds-darkstalkers-alisa-from-god-eater-2-and-pai-from-virtua-fighter/

So here's where most of the female PCs went after PxZ1. Morgan is now with Dimitri, Ling Xiaoyu and Chun Li are the new girl power pair, and VF's Pai Chen and God Eater's Alisia are now reduced to support bots along with that Nightshade chick.

read up on some of the changes to the systems and it shows some promise, might actually be able to power through the first one now. Just, how can a game with so many cool characters and moves turn into such a slog?

They've also added shops to the game (instead of PXZ1's just find everything on the field/enemy drops), so hopefully that cuts down on the tedious environment smashing that also plagued PXZ1.

http://gematsu.com/2015/09/project-x-zone-2-launches-february-26-north-america

New NA release date of Feb 26th and a trailer to go with it.

Seems like they may include a 'remake' of the Arcade version of Legend of Valkyrie. Hopefully, that'll make it out here as well (it would make the game worth it just for that).

Double posting again because, http://www.siliconera.com/2015/09/19/project-x-zone-2-adds-fire-emblem-and-xeno-characters/ see below.

Looks like I've got no choice on the matter now.

Edit: Silconera's shit: http://gematsu.com/2015/09/project-x-zone-2-adds-fire-emblem-xenosaga-xenoblade-characters

well, I actually bit the bullet because amazon has this game for 13 bucks, I may or may not come to regret this.

From what I've heard, the general consensus is that the game is slightly improved over PXZ1. By how much does 'slightly' constitute and whether that's enough is up for debate, but at least it isn't as bad as PXZ1.

Why I didn't pull the trigger myself was that I learned that they cut the Legend of Valkyrie port from the NA version of the game.

I'm a couple of hours in. they have improved the game a lot. There's an upgrade system for your moves now and passive skills you can unlock for each character. Enemies also are not as damage spongy as the first game but the inherent problem of having to play the combo minigame will probably still fatigue people. There's also some meter management mechanic and an attack canceling system now so combos are more in depth. So things are lookin up, I'll see if I can last till the end of the game. Some weird new characters like the dragon girl tiki from fire emblem awakening.

Yeah, still wasn't expecting Nintendo to find a way to sneak themselves into the game like that. I mean, Xenoblade made sense since the same developers are the ones who're making these games (mostly to keep KOS-MOS relevant), but FE:Awakening feels like a pure vanity pick.

Considering I didn't even play Project X zone that makes me pure thread scrub #1, however!

I am thinking of trying this series out finally, possibly starting with 2.
