My favorite comment on the siliconera article went something like
Quote
Wii salute U

He probably would've smiled at that.

I mostly pop in occasionally to give my two cents on certain controversial things, so if you disagree then send a PM, because I generally don't check for replies in threads in case I feel like replying and then things get heated/derailed.

Just a week ago or so he was answering to bickering shareholders about the future of Nintendo and now he's dead. Life sure is a cruel mistress.

I've been reading/hearing about his technical chops and he's had quite the career. As the manager of Nintendo he helped debug Smah Bros. on Gamecube so it could make deadline. Now that's getting down in the trenches

I loved the muppet presentation at E3.

Rainbow over Nintendo HQ after Iwata's passing -- reddit

from daskrip:

Hey I'm intermediate in Japanese but I think I can translate.

From my husband:

"I don't know whether it's because Nintendo's CEO isn't there anymore, but looking at Nintendo headquarters from the station I was able to see a rainbow!"
Awawa! W('0')W

I give my condolences.

from WhoDatJoebear:

I like this, it's like Mr. Iwata's telling us everything's gonna be okay.
One last "please understand."

Also, Bill Trinen will not be going to EVO 2015 for obvious reasons.
