Final Fantasy XII.  Solid addition to the series, but the storyline definitely didn't captivate me.

I would say the same thing with regards to the story, but I feel quite strongly that its not because I found the story to be lacking or slow paced, just that, for a change, I was playing the game almost purely through my love of the battle system.

So..FFXII for me, and i've nearly finished Lost Magic and FE6, but other than those i'm not likely to play anything other than FFXI for the next two months at least.

Tales of the Abyss. And it turned out to be the best RPG i ever played. I feel kind of empty after beating it. Now my only hope is that they translate Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Destiny 2. But i guess that it never will happen so i just have to find another series to play.

Still got into a Ys craze so I have beaten Ys I eternal last night. A fun game in its own right, and got some better understanding of the series too. I also got Eternal II and Origin to play later on.

I have also beaten another game on the same day though it technicly does not count as an RPG, but its covered here so a worthwhile mention.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney- Justice for all
Great game in its own right, and while it may have taken a bit of a nosedive in the music department, the cases are still a lot of fun with strong dialogue. On par with the first imo.

Ys Origin- Yunica path

Still quite a fun game even with the absense of Adol. Might try with the other lead later on for kicks under a harder difficulty.

As far as RPGs go, FFIII is the only one I've finished so far this year (I was resntful of the having to find someone to e-mail to unlock everything, but thankfully an old friend had picked it up and was dealing with the same annoyance).  I'm close on FFXII, but after blowing it against Omega Mark XII, I have put it down for a bit (I just have that and 3 or 4 trophies left for Hunt Club I have to look up and then I'll be done with everything I hope).

Non-RPG-wise, I have been playing a lot with the DS at work and finished Trace Memory, Metroid Prime Hunters and FMA: Dual Sympathy (all pretty short games).  And while it technically can't be finished, my real addiction has been Wii Sports.  I've played a little twilight princess, but the sports game that came bundled is so addictive (especially for multiplayer).  I had my doubts, but the Wii thus far has seen a lot more action than my PS3 which has only been used to play FFXII basically (Resistance: Fall of Man isn't really my kind of game and it's all I own so far).

Sheesh, that's an average of 4 games a week! I'll be lucky to get that many games finished in the whole of January...

Phoenix Writght Ace Attorney:  Justice For All

Liked the first game better but part 2 is still a solid game.  I'll continue to support the series in the states.

It's entirely possible that he just wrapped up a lot of games in his backlog. That accounted for over half of my 2006 list.

Edit: Then I look again. While SuikIV was barely started the year before, if you disregard the adventure games it's true, not counting VS as that was a fresh start.

I decided to wrap up FFXII after 100 hours. I can't be spending more time than that on any one game. Too much other stuff out there.
