I'm slowly making my return to the RPG scene so the one and only title I've completed this year is...

Tales of the Abyss

Amazing game, ain't it?  As bold as it may sound it's without a doubt my personal fave on PS2's RPG library and the only RPG I've ever played where after it was finished I immediately began my second run.

I did that with Tales of Symphonia too, though the first time I beat it was on my second playthrough.

Anyways, beat Summon Night: Swordcraft Story and probably won't do the after-story stuff since I have so many other RPGs to play. Probably might be the last RPG I beat this year unless I play some of my other games 6-8 hours a day...

2007 turned out to be one of my best game playing years... at least the first half of it. Coming off of Twilight Princess, probably my favorite game of all time, then Tales of the Abyss, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Bioshock, and Super Mario Galaxy, all squashed into my top 10 list (which now consists of about 20 games), this has been an EXCELLENT year. However, it's also turned out to have some of my biggest letdowns. Blue Dragon turned out to be only "decent" when I was thinking it might be amazing, Eternal Sonata, which I'd been buzzing on for months, I didn't even pick up because of the reviews it finally got. Metriod Prime 3, while better than its predicessor, didn't come close to the dazzling Prime 1, and Mass Effect turned out to be way too sandbox for me, with a terrible interface. It hasn't helped that I just CAN'T get into Persona 3, as hard as I try.

Not a good year for RPGs, but an amazing year for adventure games.
