While there's no dedicated crafting classes like FFXIV, Black Desert Online has one of the most in depth and thorough resource management/crafting/trading economies I've ever seen. While your character can perform simple crafting on their own to create refined products requires the purchase of workshops, the hiring and maintenance of craftsmen, the establishment of trade routes and the aquisition of resource nodes and the assignment of workers therein. All of which are intrinsically tied into expanding your knowledge and contributions via questing.
There are several tradeskills:
Gathering - acquiring raw materials via mining, logging, skinning, bleeding (yes, blood extraction).
Processing - refining raw materials into refined materials via heating, drying, thinning, grinding etc.
Alchemy - creating potions, enchanted gemstones, various other components used in worker crafts.
Cooking - self explanatory.
Trading - Buying and Selling goods from vendors. Requires transport via wagons/backpacks and prone to bandit raiding.
Hunting - Rifle marksmanship used to hunt game on land and sea (whaling).
Fishing - With either rod or harpoon.
Training - The catching, training, breeding and sale of wild horses.
So yeah, a lot of good stuff. Granted no fancy rotations but a more global approach to participating in economic adventures.
