Gaming Ringtones
« on: February 16, 2016, 02:54:12 PM »
Who has them?
Who wants to share them?

FF7 Battle (same as below)

FFX Battle (This one is a little project I did. It's basically the FFX Battle Theme that I ran through some old ass audio drivers to destroy it then I reconstructed it)
(with intro)

Mega Man 3

Zero Wing

Ys2 - Intro (warning, may not pick up calls)

Final Fantasy victory fanfare is my ringtone.  More specifically, FF6.

Actually, funny story:

At work, I'm on the executive floor (I'm not an exec, my desk just happens to be there) and it's usually super silent because it's mostly offices.
There's a guy in the area that has the Mortal Kombat theme as his ringtone and he usually leaves his cell in his drawer + has the ringtone at max volume for some reason.
So, sometimes, the ambient silence gets broken by about a minute of:

DUH NUH DUH NUH DUH NUH DU DU DU
MORTAAAAAAAAAAL KOOOOOOOOOMBAT !!!!

My notification sound is the DQ "Level Up" jingle. Though if I could find a good version of it, I'd change it to the "Pokemon caught!" jingle.

Reason I go with Android phones? Custom tones for everything.  I got like 50 ringtones from all over.  Some videogame ones I got...

Standard wake up tunes:
https://youtu.be/fTSAVnRKhWE
Tales of Destiny's "I feel so happy today!"

https://youtu.be/6T4vcbbvkiI
Atelier Ayesha "Recipe" (because it's so annoying/loud, it does the job....I actually got a "wakeup jolt" listening to it now)

Standard ringtone
https://youtu.be/G6Z5L62mK4A
Tales of Graces DLC, Sophie's Idolmaster battle theme (it's nice and loud)

When my brother calls:
https://youtu.be/5nVrdLbxVOg
Bravely Default "Victory's Delight" (win theme)

When my house calls me:
https://youtu.be/tsPnguilm1M
Final Fantasy V "Home Sweet Home" (of course :P )

I got a bunch of Ocarina of Time ocarina songs too.  Short n sweet.

Not necessarily a ringtone but here's another chiptune I re-processed like the FF ones above.

These things are all at a lower pitch because I run them through old sound engines and high pitch sounds are just garbage on old midi mappings and whatnot.
Usually they sound awful at the end so it's nice when I find some that convert pretty nicely.
Basically, I try and run them over older sound engines then when that's done I bring them over to newer ones using post processing.
It gives and interesting sound as the raw version sounds worst (and in most cases loses a lot of notes too because they just can't be played in engines from the 1990s) but the post smooths it over so it's easier on the ears than old ass chiptunes.
It's like a mix of old 8-bit music without the headache you get from listening to this for an hour.
Aaaaaaaaaanyway...

Dragon Quest IV - Nara and Mara

If anyone has songs they want me to try, I can attempt it BTW.
I just need something that has 'notes' on it (midi is probably the best)

I like it! xD
Gurren Lagan judging by the notable quotable in your text. x)

Not gaming either but the Intro to the best TV comedy (probably) is part of the collection now.

Got my new phone so I decided to make Top Man's stage theme (from MegaMan 3) my ringtone.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opy_Q4vHZII
