Looks like it might actually be an RPG this time.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Nah. The abundance of Toads, the realistic fan in the trailer, the cards, the bucket of paint seeming like it fills in the role Kersti had... it screams Sticker Star 2. I'm hoping I'll see more to excite me, but god that's disappointing.

At least it's pretty.

All the screenshots that Nintendo have posted on Twitter up to this point has reminded me way too much of Sticker Star.

Well people were able to play their preloaded versions early and I've heard a resounding cry of "it's not Sticker Star" from them, so I'm a little more interested/hopeful. Makes you wonder if Nintendo leaked it on purpose to generate some interest. I mean, did someone forget to turn a switch off?

Regardless, game looks gorgeous.

I'm definitely getting this one, whatever it is.

We got our review copy on release day, so I'm not ready for a review yet, but I've got a hands-on preview coming in a couple of days based on what I've played so far.  A preview of my preview: "It's not EXACTLY Sticker Star.  That's not necessarily a good thing."

Yeah. Between the ongoing coverage at Siliconera and my finally getting around to playing Thousand Year Door, my enthusiasm for this game has been on a steady decline.

Then again, Mario RPGs on both sides have been wearing thin for me recently. I haven't gotten around to playing Paper Jam yet, and I skipped Dream Team altogether.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

The game looks fantastic, the great writing from TTYD and SPM is back, the soundtrack is fabulous... but god, I am hating this battle system. It's just as tedious as Sticker Star's.

As a fan of both the Paper and non-Paper Mario RPG series, if you're choosing one of the two to play, I'd definitely go with Dream Team.

Paper Jam is still good, just not AS good.

Not a question of 'what should I play?', so much as a statement of 'too many games, not enough time'.

I definitely feel your pain.  Always tough to decide which ones to skip even though you might enjoy them if you had time.

In case anyone didn't see, here's the preview we posted today.

Love the preview Tooker! As I keep saying I'm really excited about this entry, it's been too long with Paper Mario.

Like you I actually enjoyed Sticker Star, I don't think people gave it a fair shake in many ways. Even with the potential issues I'm still pretty excited to try it to be honest.
