E3 2016: E3 2015 was better Edition.
« on: June 06, 2016, 07:52:47 PM »
So we're now within a week of this year's E3. Its time to start posting links, gifs, webms, hopes/expectations/dreams and complaints when nothing you posted doesn't occur.

First, a link to get us started. http://gematsu.com/2016/06/e3-2016-press-conference-streaming-schedule

Next, expectations. Everybody's doing worse this year (except for EA who cut the line). Bethesda's only got Dishonored 2 and maybe one other game versus their Doom/Fallout 4 combo; Microsoft's no longer front and center as EA's going to cut into their presentation for once, and their big announcement is probably them boning up on their XBone; Ubisoft's probably going Watch Dogs 2 and maybe a new IP, but the goodwill is still gone; Sony 2016 has the toughest act to follow, Sony 2015; and Nintendo's sans Iwata and much of anything beyond Zelda U|NX. (And off in the distance, on a cold dreary night, perhaps you can hear from the depths of one of Konami's sex dungeons, a single videogame developer, the last of his kind, shackled to his janitor's cart, sobbing to himself as he carefully puts the finishing touches on the company's E3 video, which nobody will watch because it'll all be Pachislot trailers for old school Konami properties featuring copious amounts of Sexual Violence.)

And finally, the gifs/webms, will be posted when (re: if) I get around to it.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Seems like a bunch of things announced last year is getting pushed to 2017. :P

Can't wait anyways, whatever goes down it'll be a pleasure reporting in to the actual event this year! :D

REAL PREDICTIONS
----------------------------
- I fully expect we'll get a release window for Kingdom Hearts 3
- I also fully expect for KH3 to get pushed beyond that release window.
- We'll probably see some more concrete gameplay from FFVII Remake, with "more concrete" being a very relative term.
-Though SE will probably focus on games with concrete releases like SO5, Setsuna, and FFXV
- The PC game show will either be a drastic improvement from last year or another insufferable snoozefest, either way I think it will be a popular watch as people tune in to see which way it goes.
- Sony's big closer will be Bloodborne 2 teaser trailer
- CoD coverage will be toned down, but only subtly.

WISHFUL THINKING
---------------------------
- Golden Sun 4 with a promise of a proper ending.
- Persona 5 Western release date
- Ubisoft presser hosted by that For Honor viking dude.

I think Sony's probably actually going to spend some time on The Last Guardian now that the devs are actually talking about it again, though we might get a long runner for the closer (like Legend of Dragoon 2 lol).
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Haha, something tells me we'l get a Persona 5 release date *way* before KH3. I can't imagine they'll save much concrete about it at E3.

Ubisoft downgrades -- CrowbCat, YouTube

---

Seems like a bunch of things announced last year is getting pushed to 2017.

And? Is par for the course that more than a few titles shown between E3 and TGS come out around 1 or even 3 years after being at the event for the first time. With a few of them getting swallowed within development technicalities, or become smoke.

And?

Time flies is all.

Anyways, I'm hoping for just ONE surprise I'm crazy for.  I kinda get irked with all the leaks already happening, they're like a spoiler. :P

LOL! If that happened I would totally play it though because it was just that crazy that it happened. Especially if we get another hilariously bad commercial like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEs2OlW25Ao

No one should be that excited about a Peggle game.

There are rumors (or "rumors" if we go by how reports of this nature sort of come and go around E3) of supposed titles from Bethesda to be in some form at the event.

You might truly have a rock for a head then.

Also as a side note. Time doesn't fly, but it can heal wounds.

I'll be Very interested to see how much stuff for the Vita or 3DS ends up being featured (my guess: not much).
