Mine:
(1) Before Sunset
(2) Ingluorious Basterds
(3) Mad Max: Fury Road
(4) Back to the Future II
(5) Dazed and Confused
(6) In The Loop
(7) Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Honourable Mentions:
> The Silence of the Lambs (would have been there if Mads Mikkelsen's performance in TV Hannibal didn't make me think twice)
> Guy Ritchie's Snatch/Lock, Stock (couldn't pick) (hell, throw Layer Cake in there too for good measure)
> Shawshank Redemption (didn't want to waste a spot on an obviously fantastic film)
> Trainspotting (it's not an easy watch sometimes, but ranks just about everywhere else)
> Just about any John Hughs film, which I watch all the time but doesn't quite hit the tippy-tippy-top.
> Ghibli/Disney, blah blah blah.  A lot of their titles hold a fond space in my heart.

Alphabetical order, so as not to rank them officially.

The Blues Brothers
Clue
Goodfellas
Inglourious Basterds
The Incredibles
Kung Fu Hustle
Seven Samurai

I love superhero movies (and superhero stuff in general), but I still find it a little strange that the best superhero movie is a 2004 animated joint about family and uniqueness.

I have trouble thinking of my top 5 favorite movies, let alone 7. Not because I haven't seen a lot of good movies, but because I never really retain them. ~1.5-4 hours is rarely enough time to leave an impression on me. But I'll try:

Summer Wars - I really liked the family aspect here, and I felt like the whole virus part of the story acted as a visual representation of the problems they were going through, which was sealed it for me. Plus it, was really pretty.

.................................screw it, the rest are all kid's moves that I haven't seen in years. Except maybe Rush Hour 2 and The Men in Black. Though I'm now I'm wondering if I actually liked Rush Hour 3 and The Men in Black 3 more, but I don't really remember much of either of them right now, so...

Oh wait, I watched the animated Transformers: The Movie when I was 16. I loved it, and the Optimus "death" scene really did have balling, even I though never saw more than 3 episodes of the original series as a kid.

Pacific Rim- Best action in a movie that I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing.

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters- I really hope I'm not getting the title mixed up with All Monsters attack, because one of those is the best classic Godzilla movie, the other is the worst. I think I have the name right though.

Serenity- Great movie "conclusion" to the series

Inception- An extremely creative movie concept with excellent visual effects to bring the concept to life

Inside Out- Another creative concept that was extremely well done

The Incredibles- Enjoyable film that had been my favorite Pixar movie prior to Inside Out

Star Wars: A New Hope- While it has been a while since I last saw it, it is too much a part of my childhood to not make the list

Beverly Hills Cop
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
The Legend of Drunken Master
Beverly Hills Cop
Snatch
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Big Lebowski

HM: A Scanner Darkly, Requiem For a Dream

I'm actually a bit surprised I didn't need to deliberate more on this.  My most difficult decision was whether or not to include Beverly Hills Cop twice.

edit: I went ahead and included it twice.  Sorry I'm not sorry Ellen Bernstein.  It's the most perfect film ever conceived.

Pacific Rim.
Yes a fellow fan!
Dat theme tho. I could listen to it for days.

I basically stand by the logic that if I find myself watching a movie from any point I flip it on at, it's preferred or I haven't seen it in ages. Snatch I can watch the last 30 seconds of and still be happy, same for Pacific Rim and Kung Pow. Hell; every movie I named I can watch whenever it's on without objection.

Donnie Darko (original, NOT director's cut!)
The Village (most people argue M. Night peaked at Unbreakable or Sixth Sense. I think this was his peak before his disastrous descent into crap film-making)
Castle in the Sky (Laputa)
The Neverending Story
Interstella 5555
Can't Hardly Wait (don't ask ... it's completely illogical why I like this so much)
Let the Right One In

Honorable mentions:
Le hérisson (The Hedgehog)
The Ring (American version. Seriously.)
something from Star Wars. Probably Empire.
Spirited Away (and a bunch of other Miyazaki films)
A bunch of documentaries (Botany of Desire, Jesus Camp, Gasland)

My 7 favorite films:

1) Who Framed Roger Rabbit
2) Star Wars ep. VI: Return of the Jedi
3) Star Wars ep. IV: A New Hope
4) Star Wars ep. V: The Empire Strikes Back
5) This is Spinal Tap
6) The NeverEnding Story
7) Transformers: The Movie (1986)

Honorable mentions:
-Labyrinth
-The Dark Crystal
-Blues Brothers
-Lord of the Rings trilogy
-Clerks
-Ghostbusters (1984)
-UHF

This was surprisingly difficult to do.  That being said, my #1 pick was a no brainer.  Who Framed Roger Rabbit is my all-time favorite movie.
