There's a classic technique in cognitive behavioral therapy where you envision your negative or intrusive thoughts as leaves floating on a river. You see them come, you watch them pass, you don't hold onto them, they go away.

Thoughts pass, you don't grab on.

Steven Universe did something similar, visually, with the butterfly concept here. And they made some sort of new age smooth jazz groove.
