Do we like the shade of grey?  I think it'd be better if it was just a wee bit darker (contrast the white writing better).
That said if you all like it I'll stick a sock in it.

Really happy colurs haven't gone away.

I can definitely work on tweaking the gray. I'm working within some styleguide directives, but there's flex room to improve readability.

I'm also going to work a bit on the user profile for the mobile version today.

I've actually disabled graphic smilies for right now until I can find a way to include them that isn't in .GIF format and has responsive values. Requires more time for less results than I want to invest right now.

However, our mobile theme is updated. I think the header works nicely now. Thoughts, anyone?

Also, I had a thought: What if we inverted forum reading order for posts, so newest posts would appear first? That would create a descending list, which I feel is much more in keeping with how we read online (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc, have descending order timelines).

Yes, please.

This grey is too... grey. Too lifeless. I think a bit darker would be better. Not hating. Just giving my initial impressions.

EDIT: After reading some posts, I"m cool with it in its current state. Just takes some getting used to.

Cripes I think I posted about my support of the grey in the wrong forum update thread last night! Oh well, I officially support it in THIS thread as well.

That being said, although I know zero about programming/what it takes to have a forum such as this up and running, has there ever been thought given to selectable forum themes/schemes by the user? Is that even doable?

MODIFIED (I like "modify") -- I am not suggesting it per se'. In truth I really do dig this grey/green. Just curious really.

The software does have that feature built in, and we are likely to craft a light theme after this one is done being tweaked. :)

I prefer chronological posts, vs newest first. Feels wrong, especially when posts are like conversation or narrative....

I've kept the RPGFan forum up on my tv (I use my TV as my monitor) to greet me each and every day for years. To skin it and change the visual motif... nothing short of life changing.

I'm with you there.  I'm used to reading forums like a book- top to bottom.  Newest threads get bumped to the top, but the conversations within them read from top to bottom.

As for the grey, I'm cool with it.  And, no, I will not make any obvious 50 Shades of Grey jokes or even a less obvious joke about the prog-metal album "A Pleasant Shade of Grey" by Fates Warning.

Question from the mobile browsing side. Is it an intentional effect tat when your phone is sideways the forum goes into a more normal.message board and when normal it goes to a su0er mobile variation?
