PSP Importing

Okay....I have a PSP and a few games, but i NEED a good rpg for it to justify owning it, cause other than Xmen Legends II, Lumines, Hot Shots, and Wipeout....I think I'm done.
Now, that said, I cant really find any easy information regarding importing from Japan for the PSP. I found an article on IGN a while back that says there is no region coding for games, but because of some specifications that SCEA doesnt recomment importing.
Well great IGN thanks for saying that they're region free with a huge BUT attatched to it. I just wanna know before i plunk down $50 for a PSP game that I can play it on my USA hardware.
I want my Valkyrie Profile PSP port.....NOW.

You should be able to play it fine. The only thing our American PSPs won't play are UMDs from other regions.

Yup, I've got import games from three other regions (Asia, Japan, and Europe), and they all work fine. Just no UMD movies from other regions.
Also, consider getting Ys or Winning Eleven 9. Despite Ys' loading times, it's still the great game it was on the PS2, and I don't have any particular love of soccer, but Winning Eleven is super fun to play.

Indeed. No region coding. So you can go ahead and import anything you want.
My suggestions for some RPGs, however, are Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III. Both games you can import from Europe, and play fine on your PSP. AND, they are the original ports of the PSX version.

Yup. The average European game is released in a "Multi3" or "Multi5" disc - English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish are the main ones for Multi5.
