I actually remembered PCGamer's review of it being negative and there was this HUGE backlash in the comments section saying how the game is actually great and stuff. It was really bizarre considering how everywhere else I went to, it was mainly people saying it's meh.

I'm pretty sure the Internet is full of people who like to rage simply for the sake of raging.

Only reason this game isn't ftp or dead is cause of its IP

And because they're trying to squeeze out a console release still.

So has anyone played the console version, Beta or otherwise? I've been watching some gameplay vids to see if it's anything worth picking up eventually, but that only raised more questions.

I tried it out, it's been fun! No doubt.

I'm not very far though.

Ok so having gotten deeper into the game I have to say the immersion in this game is pretty nice, it's got a wide variety of quests in different hubs and just generally feels like an in-depth RPG like you can really go different places and have meaningful choices, etc. It's nice to be like oh should I craft this or maybe try and find rare treasure, etc, etc.

Overall the classes are kind of unique too since there are so many shared abilities with only a handful of trees being specific to your original class, as well as the availability of other lines out there randomly like Fighter's Guild, Mage's Guild, etc.

Overall, the way the game has been developing has been quite interesting, overall I'm getting into it more and more. It helps that I think some of the people involved were also involved in one of my all time favorite MMOs, Dark Age of Camelot.

Anyway there's still a lot to see but basically it's been quite a positive experience in many ways.

I give up, there's no way I'm grinding through the rest of this game, it's definitely easy to see why it has a dedicated fan base though.
