It's a good idea to take caution with this, but it seems like anything remotely out of the ordinary is going to be SERIOUS BUSINESS. Looks funny? COULD BE A BOMB! THIS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER! Mystery cookies out of good will? Time to get those girls arrested! Bleh. :P

These people are calling lite-brite boxes a bomb hoax?

Shoot me now.

edit:
"It had a very sinister appearance," Coakley told reporters. "It had a battery behind it, and wires."

OH NOES BATTERIES.

I'm sorry, but the authorities involved in this "incident" are all sorts of retarded.

Even if it was a bomb, it would still only have the power of 4 goddamn D batteries. What the fuck.

I live in Boston, but I don't go anywhere so I didn't see any of these. =/ I think it's funny.

Wow. LED Boards really DO look like bombs.

If you squint.

And drop a lot of acid.

Really WEIRD acid.

Also, logic generally stands that if you make a bomb, and put it somewhere, and set it, you want it to blow up. Where you put it. This would also involve making the bomb inconspicuous. Putting a big flashing light above something you didn't want people noticing DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

Apparently Seattle discovered them around the same time, and, ...didn't have a cow.

Yeah, that's another thing I'm thinking. There's no way that'd make sense as a bomb threat unless the bombers were complete idiots.

This just gets more and more ridiculous from what I hear. I didn't realize they'd be throwing felony charges aroudn, or the fact these have been up for a good while now.

I just love how folks throw around words like "responsibility" and "accountability" yet completely miss the boat.
