Joystiq link. And GABE SAYS THEY'RE CALLING IT AN RPG/ADVENTURE I SWEAR!

Honestly, while the cartoon at the beginning looks good, the in-game graphics don't look that hot. We'll just have to wait and see how this turns out I guess.

I don't see anything wrong with the ingame graphics.  They aren't amazing, but they do seem to be a good enough style for the type of game PA may wish to create.

Definitely looks better then the Family Guy game, heh.

Don't know about an old-timey London-style detective story. PA never really struck me as being British. Oh well, as long as it doesn't turn out like a Wallace & Grommit (SP?) game/movie/cartoon, it should be just fine. As long as we get to hear and see direct and general video-game parodies, it should be all good.

I really liked the short toon at the beginning. Really reminded me of Sly Cooper, and I love Sly Cooper. Wasn't too impressed by the in-game graphics either. I think they should have stuck to keeping the characters recognizable by making them more two dimensional.

Aside from that, it does look kind of funny...

The robot who jerks it to "shoot off" bullets made me laugh pretty hard.

If it really is being advertised as an RPG/adventure, I want to review it for this very site. Even if it's a piece of sh*t, it'll be a funny piece of sh*t.

I liked the in-game graphics.  Reminded me of a highly stylized 3D LucasArts style graphic adventure.  And, yes, the horny robot was hysterical.

I'm not as up-to-speed w/ Penny Arcade as I'd like to pretend I am. :(

Well, the trailer isn't really impressive, but I don't imagine that it's supposed to be. Though I really wish that they would turn the game into a old style adventure, the type that LucasArts was adapt at making before they started cranking out SW games like there was no tomorrow. I mean with the hilarity in PA they could probably make a really good adventure.

Gabe talked about the game in today's update, second entry down.

Sounds like the final game will be cel shaded!

Ah, very good. That will be perfect for addressing the one complaint I had from the trailer.
