On a bass forum I frequent, there was a thread about basses depicted in cartoons/comics.  Anyway, this was one picture someone posted.  It's awesome and I made it my wallpaper, but who is it, what series is it from, and who's the artist?  (I asked the poster and he didn't know.)

The detail on that bass is impeccable.  This person really knew their stuff.  I ask you since, well, many of you are more anime fans than I.

(And, yes, Haru Haruka's Rickenbacker on Furi Kuri is wicked cool too.)

I was gonna see if anyone would reply to this with an anime title.

I did, however, find it on deviantarts and it was mentioned that it isn't actually from an anime, but it was drawn from one of the members there who doesn't update frequently.

So, no shows with uber art and about music, I'm afraid. ;_;

Thanks Kiem.  But in terms of anime series about music with uber-art, Beck probably comes the closest; has tons of references to music gear as well.  And as mentioned earlier, Haru Haruka's Rickenbacker bass in Furi Kuri is drawn/rendered absolutely perfectly.

I had posted that picture on another forum but I was told that it was just from a random artist and there was no corresponding anime attached to her. And yes, Beck and FLCL are just that awesome.
