Hockey Playoffs Thread

OMG HOCKEYTIME!

Today, for the first time in my life, I rooted for the New Jersey Devils, in hopes that they would beat the New York Islanders and allow the Leafs into the playoffs.

But, they blew it. I knew there was a reason I hated them.

So now, Calgary and Vancouver get my support. They're my secondary favourites, I suppose you could say.

As for round one predictions?

Buffalo over New York Islanders
New Jersey over Tampa
Rangers over Atlanta
Pittsburgh over Ottawa
Calgary over Detroit
Anaheim over Minnesota
Vancouver over Dallas
Nashville over San Jose

I'll make round two predictions when we get there. I wanna see how close I am. But I'm not gonna make game number predictions. I'll make a fool of myself. :p

Should be good. I like that the Leafs are out. (THANK YOU ISLES!) I hate the way the Flames made it, we literally limped into the playoffs. WITH HELP FROM NASHVILLE. Blech.

Good thing playoffs are a different story. Schedule's out, and ours blows because I miss so many games. Ugh.

My team(Canadiens) are out of it now so I really don't give a shit who wins. At least the Leafs are out of it too:P

I would say that I'd like the Sens to win I suppose but they have a bad habit of going to peices in the playoffs.

I've always been a Stars fan myself, even though I haven't really been around to watch hockey much these past two years.  So I'm rooting for them.

I guess I'm rooting for the Pens too since I'm close to Pittsburgh.

Haha! That's what you get for rooting for the god damn Canadiens. :p And the Sens fall to pieces because they're shit. Any team with that prick Daniel Alfredson on it doesn't deserve to make it past the first round. :p Although, they might stand a chance this year, because nine times out of ten it's the Leafs who knock them out. (And then get beat next round...)

As for the Leafs, even if you don't like them, you have to admit, their closer with Montreal was one of the best-played games for both teams, that I've seen in a long time. I admit it, and Montreal is one of my top four most-hated teams.

Wait... why is Alfredsson a prick? I'd like to see Ottawa NOT collapse, I kind of like them even if they tend to choke in the playoffs, but then again..I hate Crosby.

Oh well. At least the Leafs aren't in. Too bad takes an elimination for their fans to admit how truly mediocre their team is. Amounting to nothing for 40 years and counting....

Is it like how Canucks fans hate on Iginla? lol Does Alfie do really well against the Leafs?

A lot of Leafs fans are all gung ho about their team until they get eliminated from the playoffs and only then do they admit how much the team sucks.

Or at least, that's the Leafs fans out here anyway. I know like two that are better than that, but still.


Oh and.. Alisha, Ohio has the Columbus Blue Jackets, an expansion team that has yet to do anything worth mentioning in its few years other than have Rick Nash. (I guess we could talk about Gilbert Brule, but from my experience of watching him in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants, he's an egotistical asshole anyway and a tad overrated!)
