Guitar Hero or God of War II?

Okay...so my home console gaming has pretty much come to a halt over the past year or so (fuck you WoW), BUT I crave it a little bit. I dont think i want to play much in the way of RPGs, but I want SOMETHING. Problem is...i can only really afford one game right now.

I have the first God of War...and fucking adored it. I hear the second is amazingly good and very worth the $50.

I have NO point of reference on Guitar Hero (1 or 2) aside from DDR, which is a totally different game. I'm very intrigued by how much I am hearing about it and even though I can only afford one game right now....i'd totally be buying the guitar set too.

So...thoughts? Or am I missing another great game entirely?

Guitar Hero is kind of cool.  My roommate borrows it from his friend and loves it.

I personally would get much more fun and use out of God of War 2.  I love music, but I still find playing that game for longer than 20 minutes boring.  To me, it's one of those games that when you first get it, you play it a fair amount during the weekend and after that you just play it a little bit here and there.

All I can say is that I bought Guitar Hero and a plastic guitar last summer and I still regularly play it. Which is more than I can say about God of War, which I beat once and then forgot about. Guitar Hero 2 has a slightly worse track list, but it's an awesome, awesome game. I'd pick it over GoW2 any day.
