How is Ganondorf in this version?  He was my favorite one on Melee so I'm curious as to how he handles.

Ganon's big and slow, just like always.

His up smash now doesn't hit twice, but it's still pretty strong. He might actually be a bit bigger in Brawl than he was in Melee. I haven't looked too deep into that.

Most of his moves are the same. His up B still grabs onto characters and shocks them and can still be chained together, but his fist needs to touch whoever you're attacking or you'll probably miss.

He also has one of the best "running" animations in the game. He looks like a middle aged woman powerwalking.

Exactly what everluck said. The only thing he left out was Ganon's new and improved side B, which now can be used as a suicide kill if you catch someone with it in mid-air. It's badass to the max.

I take back what I said about Toon Link. He's decent at long range. Obviously not as good as someone like Snake, but he's still got three decently powered projectiles, even if they don't move too quick. If you're playing against someone who's half decent, don't expect to make too much headway after mid-range, but you'll at least be able to toss things at them to keep them occupied.

Seriously. That's been pissing me off for a while now because I used to use the boomerang just before charging in to knock people off their rhythm. Gale Boomerang does nothing...

Melee Link could throw his boomerang before a quick character charged him so it would break their combo when it returned to him. He could chuck bombs at it to make them fall straight down. It did a decent amount of damage and made opponents flinch.

Gale boomerang drags characters toward you randomly so they can kick your ass.
