This begs the question: Are you on crack?

Yeah, that is an extreme example... However, despite the 'wahhhh they're super deformed' bullshit, I do FFIII probably handled the graphics better for it's platform than SuikV did.

Heck, on that note it's lame SuikV didn't support prog scan when it's prequel did. And arguably looks worse. WTF?

Konami cut less funds for the Suikoden series after Suikoden IV came out due to lackluster sales, so a decrease in quality was predictable.

I didn't mind Suikoden V's poor graphics so much as the, bland , boring viewpoint most of the game was spent in. Watching the characters like that really got to me. It's okay if they actually had some animations or did something, but they pretty much just stood there. The environments were pretty lacking too and drab as well.

Yeah, I liked SuikIV's camera placement most, and I made my opinion clear about the lack of emoting during regular scenes.

*Comes into the topic without reading any previous posts!*

Once upon a time I didn't really like Suiko at all.  I had only played Suiko I, which I enjoyed, but never got along with the series after that.  I have recently played Suiko V though and really fucking enjoyed it.

Now I should just play the second one as I have had it for a year and only gotten 23 minutes in.  :P

Yeah, shit, you'd probably like II a lot. Get the fuck on that.

As for me, I started with II and it remains my favorite. V is really good, and while I like the story, characters and animations, it was too easy for it to be my favorite.

Yeah, Marsh, that's right, Suiko V was so easy...

I'll get onto Suiko II when I get back home next week.  :P

I play the Suikoden games for the plot and characters rather then the game so I did not mind that it was easy. There are other games I played, especially lately that maul me. It can be nice to play something easy here and there while enjoying yourself.

Well, I've been mucking around with my PSP, and have solved the Suikoden handheld problem. Now I just need to figure out how to transfer memory saves.

Can ashton please explain wtf is so great about 3D suikoden?

I mean sure, the main character is supposedly capable of conveying emotions with his face.

Like that time he gets called into the throne room and makes that distressed look on his face, then tilts to the right, and looks downward right.

Or that other time he makes that distressed look on his face.

Oh and that other time he made that distressed look on his face.

Come to think of it, I think that's all he ever does, is make a distressed look on his face, tilts his body to the right, and looks downward right.

Anyways.

Better than 2D Suikoden, where they DON'T HAVE FACES.

I thought this was about Suikoden, not Granstream Saga.
