Are you kidding? Taylor has a huge fanbase so he does stand a chance of winning. You don't have to look like and american ido to do welll. Hell Clay looks nothing like an idol and even though he didn't win, he is really successful.

He is? Wow his one hit was basically a song about being a fucking stalker.
YAY FOR BEING A SUCCESSFUL ASSBAG IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.
"If I was invisible
Then I could just watch you in your room
If I was invincible
I'd make you mine tonight
If hearts were unbreakable.
Saw your face in the crowd
I call out your name
You don't hear a sound
I keep tracing your steps
Each move that you make
Wish I could read what goes through your mind"
Yeah that Clay Aiken is a heart-throb.

Yeah the song is creepy, but I don't think he wrote it. It is a product of the AI machine. Anyways, I think going double platinum on his debut album is successful.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe Chris is out. Actually I can since the American voting public's tastes seem to be oppossed to mine. American Idol has lost me as a viewer (for this season). I can't see myself buying an album from the remaining contestants but I could see myself buying Chris's album when it comes out. I have no doubt he'll get a record contract. With AI, it's not about winning but about being seen.

I'm with ya CW. What the hell happened last night? First, I was dismayed by the bottom two. Then to have Chris voted out? What the hell is WRONG with this country?!
As much as I like Catharine, I would rather have her go than Chris. I'm not sure I'd care to watch the show much anymore.
bummer.

Taylor won. My wife watches the show so I have to watch the show since that's where my computer is. Last night wasn't all that bad. They had Chris sing a song with Live. Katherine sang a song with Meatloaf. Man he is a fucking weirdo. Then they gave away some "awards". Basically they made fun of the people that tried out and sucked.

All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

Yeah, I liked seeing Chris perform with Live.
The last two songs for Taylor and Kat SUCKED big time. Couple of the worst songs I've ever heard.
I'm cool with taylor winning. Definietly not the best singer, but he WAS the best entertainer.
I'm amazed at how hard the judges were on Kat, when she is better than 99% of the crap on the radio nowadays.
Hopefully this isn't the last we see of her. Too damn gorgeous to just fade into obscurity.

I actually didn't recognize the song. Something new from Live, perhaps?

Anyone else pleasantly surprised at Taylor's victory? I was on the internet at the time it happened, but pretty much all of my neighbors started screaming their heads off when he won :P
Cool beans, I'm glad he pulled it off.

Actually when it came down between Taylor and Kat, I was sure Taylor would win. He's never been in the bottom 3. I didn't watch the final show or any show after Chris was booted. I'm not going to buy Taylor's album or Kat's but I will buy Chris's whether he is solo or the lead singer of Fuel.
