I always wanted to try renaming Red XIII as "Nanaki", so when everyone asks in Cosmo Canyon who Nanaki is they'd sound very, very stupid. Of course, I never bothered.

I can't think of any good lines from Digital Devil Saga, except maybe for Angel's "Rend! Slaughter!" etc., though there was one line (spoilered because it's sort of important):
Code:
"Avatar Tuners or Those Who Devour... I think I'll go with whoever uses cooler-sounding words." - some random Karma Soceity soldier

"I'm sorry - were you waiting for me to give a damn?"

-Ryudo (Grandia II)

That's still my favorite line ever.

You think you see orz. But orz are not light reflections. Maybe you think Orz are many bubbles too. It is such a joke. Orz are not many bubbles like campers. Orz are just Orz. I am Orz. I am one with many fingers. My fingers reach through into heavy space and you see orz bubbles but it is really fingers. Maybe you do not even smell. That is sad. Smelling pretty colors is the best game.

Going out on a limb and calling Star control 2 an RPG. That's arguably the best line in any game ever though.

Sorry to resurrect this dieing thread, but with the completion of Super Paper Mario, I've got a new one for the books:

Merlon:
"To feel sadness is to be alive, but as long as you're alive, the future is a blank slate..."

"...and with that, I am hungry"

Chrono Trigger, using the Enertron:

"You're fully rejuvenated!... (victory dance)

(stomach growls) ...but you're still hungry... (sad faces)"

Any lines from the Mario RPG series is good. I'm especially fond of Super Mario Superstar Saga's villian, Fawful. and the fact everything he says is gold. "Fink-Rat, have you readiness for this?", "I HAVE FURY!", and my personal favorite, "Your lives that I spit on are now but a caricature of a cartoon drawn by a kid who is stupid!"

Not necessarily a line, but in Chrono Trigger when you bring Chrono's friends to his house to meet his mom, the conversations she has with Frog and Ayla are the funniest.

Pokemon Pearl has some pretty funny lines ftw.

I can't think of many off the top of my head, but things like "I lost because I didn't eat enough pizza!" and all those youngsters that invariably say something about how awesome their shorts are always entertaining.

edit:
Actually don't think I've run into any of the youngsters yet. But they've been a staple of Pokemon games for a while now, so...

From Baten Kaitos Origins:

Milly: I know this doesn't sound very ladylike, but I'm the only daughter of a wealthy family.

Guillo: Agreed. That's not ladylike at all.

"Okay... Shit." -Zoe, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.

It has little to do with the line itself, but the realistic dialogue really sets Dreamfall apart.  I love that game.
