I'm finding bugs here and there though. The Netherdrake image he linked to doesnt seem to load quickly or correctly as it does in Firefox.
Oh well...that's what betas are for!

Yeah I'm highly annoyed by the font and how it looks.
Looks completely normal in IE6/7, Firefox AND Opera, but for some reason looks like my eyes suddenly have cataracts.

They've had so many complaints, all ready, about the anti-aliasing that they'll probably allow you to turn it off (or at least make an "ultra-low" setting) for the final. Both mac and PC users are complaining about it.
Can anyone say:
"XXX-TREME ANTI-ALIASING!"

I'm confused on the Mac users needing to complain. I AM a Mac user with Safari 3 and nothing looks particularly different. Maybe Mike or someone could clarify this for me, but perhaps there's a setting left on that's fucking with people on Windows (and Mac...? I dunno).

I dunno, I just got internet today (dialup, until the fucking phone company puts in DSL to my cabin), with my new Mac Pro. So I'll find out tonight... or maybe tomorrow, depending upon how slow it takes to download!

Okay, just tried it at the local Mac store: it looks identical, is slightly slower, and has some rendering problems.
wtf?

Yeah, it might be screwy on Windows because the OS lacks any semblance of text anti-aliasing that isn't covered in Vaseline, but I can't imagine it's any different on a Mac. I actually rather like the new Find tool over any other browser's, and it is indeed much faster.
