And it doesn't look anything like you might expect it to.

Guilty Gear an RTS?  What the hell kind of shit are the developers smoking?  My knee jerk reaction is that this will utterly ruin one of the best 2D fighting series ever.

Well, even if the game sucks, the music had better be the awesomely headbang-worthy metal fare of past Guilty Gear games.  One thing Guilty Gear games (the NON-handheld ones) always had were awesome soundtracks.

RTS is bad enough, but if they create a non-metal soundtrack, I will consider the series truly ruined, dead, and unworthy of my farting in its general direction.

Is this any different than turning R-Type Delta into a RTS series?

Plenty actually since that was turned into a straight up hex based game, while this just seems random. I wouldn't be quick to ONLY call it an RTS, it sounds more like an RTS type thing that glues together the battles in a sense. Honestly, if I saw this without the GG name attached, my initial reaction would've been 'that sounds interesting, I'll follow this.' As such, I'll be keeping my eye on it in the hopes it turns out well. Not too many fighters seem to fare well when jumping to 3D/2D though.

I'm going to have to ask how, since every time I try and look at the page, it's says I'm not authorised to view it.

Working now, thanks.

Eusis is right - it certainly does look more chaotic.

It's kind of hard to tell from the scans how it's going to play.

Hey guys, did you hear how the next Katamari game will be a sports/dating sim?

Well, we need more alien dating sims.  That segment in Super Paper Mario was proof enough for me that we need wacky humorous dating sims with nerdy lizard creatures.

Funny, I was almost thinking about starting up a game of Thousand Arms again.
