What the fuck. Fucking Final Fantasy IV taught me that wasn't bright. Have magic absorbing enemies become THAT uncommon?

Woah another 3 weeks? I really don't care that much since 3 weeks is not that long but DAMN... That reflects a bad relationship Atlus has with that manufacturer. I guess i'll invest more time into Phase 3 of Ar Tonelico.

... Well fuck. I'm actually more bummed that it ultimately loses it's mid-summer advantage and just becomes a slightly early Holiday rush game than simply waiting longer. Ah well, I didn't think they could get those books rebound THAT fast.

What Holiday are you talking about?

I don't really mind. Now I won't miss the ship date from being on vacation. And that'll give me time to restart Persona 2 and play through that.

Christmas and the various holidays at the same time. Games wind up blitzing at the end of the year for that, and it seems to have creeped up from September to August this year.

Cute. Three weeks for an artbook that nobody'll probably look at more than once. I appreciate them trying to revive feelies, but nobody ever bought a game solely FOR the feelies.

Regarding difficulty, the Persona subseries has always been easier than the SMT subseries.  The Persona games were also much easier than Devil Summoner (that game was cheap as hell) and Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (more balanced, but still tough.)

Persona 2: Innocent Sin was pretty easy for a MegaTen game, but harder than creampuff RPGs like Grandia.  Persona 2: Eternal Punishment was more challenging (and the difficulty level in the US version was unchanged from the JP version.)

So if Persona 3 is easier than most MegaTen games, that's no biggie.

GameSpot and IGN have their reviews up. They're not on GameRankings yet, but I'll put a link here pre-emptively. That also covers Damian's review anyway. For those interested in the scores, 8.3 for IGN and 8.5 for GameSpot.

Honestly, I do find it quite surprising. Yeah, the staff here loves it no doubt, but it did feel like a game that has some aquired taste. It's great that even the big sites are giving it good scores. It does deserve it.

It's not surprising. Well, for GameSpot at least, IGN flat out forgot to review DDS2 yet nominated for best PS2 RPG. GameSpot however gave the lowest scores for console installments (too lazy/don't care to dig up the GB games) to Persona 1 and Devil Summoner, tied at 7.3. SMT:N got 8.5 as well, DDS1 got 8.2, and DDS2 got 8.3.

Gamestop was told another week, we'll see if that holds up.

He should've posted the news story. Though, umm RPGFan also reported it.

A week is not going to kill anyone - though it is a little bit of a drag.

On the positive front, every review posted on Game Rankings has been......well, positive.

Some people didn't seem to like Devil Summoner, so I'm glad to see that people are digging this.

It's actually 3 weeks, but that's still not a very long time.

Well I thought it was only pushed back one week from its release date?
