But when they ranked FES number one, they meant the whole package, with a revisioned 'Episode Yourself,' not just 'Episode Aigis (Aegis)' by itself. I'm personally hoping it's Episode Aigis and make it $30 or something.

Thats precisely the reason I won't buy it.  I really don't wanna play through the Tartarus again... I love the game, but only so much.
I'd buy a $30 one episode. =)

For those that have played FES, can you just start your end game save at the beginning of the new chapter, or do you have to play the whole thing over again?

I'm sure as long as you have a completed save file on Episode Yourself, you can skip straight to Episode Aigis.

I will, but only because I'm curious about the changes and the much tougher difficulty.  I'm much more interested in the "sequel" of course, but that's primarily because Persona 3 took a good 120 hours or so anyway.  Heh...

It took you 120 hours? I'm 61 or so hours in, and I'm in January.

How long is episode Aegis exactly?  I'm definitely not interested in replaying P3 again even if some of the extras sound good.

Ryan's review said 25-30 hours for Episode Aigis.

Whoops.  It was long but not that long.  Looks like I ended at about 90 hours.  Not sure where I got the 120, maybe I was thinking of FF XII or something.  90's still a lot of time on an RPG these days though...

I spent about 120 hours on P3.

I had 2 characters level 99, and pretty much all the persona I could fuse with the Slinks I completed.

At my rate, I'll have everyone level 99.

Code:
It's Monad....getting 10K to 30K per battle is pure awesome. And I'm only on January 2nd.

Though I really need better Persona, though. Surt, Loki, and Thor can't carry me through the end by themselves.

You won't get it for the original retail prices these days. For Atlus games, you have to buy them within a couple of months after the title is out for most of their games.

Well the game apparently is listed in gamestops system now at the price of 29.99 with the release date of 4/22/08. A friend sent me this picture earlier today.

I will not be pleased if this does not include the original with all the bonuses. Mainly because I was unable to obtain the original due to the outrageous price the game is going for now. I have been forced to play by other means that I would otherwise never do.
