Yep, Persona 3: FES includes the enhanced regular game and doesn't require a copy of the original game and it's only $30.  I just sold my original copy of the game for $40, keeping the art book & music CD for myself.  I'm all set. :)

So the original game is modded as well?

Guess I never understood that part about FES, and thought it was just another chapter at the end of the game.

Perhaps this game will suck up another 6 months of my life :)

Glad that we're getting the actual game AND the add on.  All for 30 bucks.  Can't wait to preorder this.  I totally regret missing out the first time.

and the ability to change your characters' clothes

!?!?!?!?! I never knew they threw that into FES.  I'm mildly intrigued.

I was going to get the expansion regardless of the price, but $29.99 is definitely a better bargain than I expected.

I don't know if you are trying to be a jackass or what.

Both versions of FES have the actual game and the add on.  The standalone version just doesn't need an original copy of P3 to work while the append version does.  We are getting the standalone version, so I don't see the problem with my post.

P3 FES confirmed for U.S. release? Dare I say, "Big fuckign deal."

http://www.rpgfan.com/boards/viewtopic.php?p=48460#48460

After reading this, I don't think I'll bother with it. Plot sounds vaguely interesting, but it seems like they've stripped down the gameplay significantly, scrapping the whole Social Link aspect.

I'm just going to finish P3, get my $50 worth out of it, and be done with it.

Yeah, anyone who liked the game just for the social simulation part isn't going to be too thrilled about the second episode. And those who were probably won't see a whole lot of incentive to go just for the upgraded portions in the original game, or at least I wouldn't, simply because of how long the game is.

Stripped from the Atlus FAQ:

Quote
8. Can I continue my game of Persona 3 in Persona 3 FES?

Not really. The Journey section of P3 FES is meant to be played from the start so that you can experience all the new content. If you're in the middle of October in Persona 3, you cannot load that save into Persona 3 FES and pick up in the middle of October in The Journey; you must start a new game at level 1. However, you will be able to load some things from your Persona 3 save into FES. These are:

-Your Academics, Charm, and Courage rankings
-Your discovered Fusion Spells list
-Any key items you possess that unlock Persona fusions
-Your Persona compendium (However, the Personas in your compendium will be reset to their base level, stats, and skills)

That will stop me from playing it right there due to the game's length.  By the time it comes out, I will be knee-deep in finals and then start my job shortly after.  Q_Q

One question though, also in the FAQ was:
Quote
. Is the US version of Persona 3 FES censored in any way? I heard you might have to remove... that.

Longtime fans of the Shin Megami Tensei series will be happy to hear that P3 FES is completely uncensored, including... that, which appears in its full "glory" for the first time in the US in this game.

What is... "that"?  Someone mentioned Mara, but I don't know what a mara is.

You can start the post game episode Aegis (or whatever they are calling it) without having beat P3.  I don't even think anything carries over into episode Aegis either way.

If you beat the regular game and then played through the post game all you would be missing are the additions to P3.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.  I don't really care if anything carries over, I just want to play episode Aegis.

and D-Rider.. I change my mind.  I don't want to know what a mara is.
