Quote from: "Masamune"

Also, it takes forever to max out S. Links with the girls.  I've seen Yukari like 6 times in a row without gaining any S. Link levels.  She needs to give it up already.

Well, it's no surprise that Yukari isn't as "easy" as, say, Chihiro or Yuko.

I'm currently just building levels and S-links in Persona 3.  Everyone in my party is around level 50-52 with Fuuka and I around level 55-57.

Once my Loki learns Null Fire, he'll have overcome his one and only weakness.  He has bufu, zio, and garu spells so he's got multiple elements covered.  Throne has my light covered and Succubus can handle fire and dark.  I have a few others in there too, but those'll be my go-to's.

But nothing's been able to top my Yomotsu Shikome so far.  She had agi, bufu, zio, garu, and mudo skills.

Tales of the Abyss:
I am in the second town after all sorts of story stuff happened.
Code:
I'm REALLY digging how this is going after last nights story bits. I like how Luke is shown to have a conscience, and the discussions that took place amongst the characters. Good stuff.
I don't get Guy. I imagine he'll come around by the end.
Jade is really cool, even if he did lose all those cool powers he had earlier. I like his VA, and the writing for him is perfect.
I don't get Fon Master Ion. They continue to refer to this person as a "he" but I'm pretty sure that "he" is a "she" Even the voice sounds like a girl. Ugh.
I love Lukes attitude towards Meiu. Exactly the way I would react. Funny stuff.

I guess I'm supposed to be looking for Anise now. She also confuses me(little girl or a grown woman?) but at least I know shes a "she".

Suikoden V-  I finished up the Queen's Campaign and now I'm off to recruit some more characters.   I NEED SOME ADVICE from anyone who followed the path to recruit all 108 SOD
Code:
I'm at the point where I can recruit Eresh, but I know she shares the same star as Euram Barrows.  Which one do you guys recommend recruiting?  The dungeon seems annoying for Eresh and I heard the boss is equally frustrating.  The pros are if I go through the dungeon I'll level up more of my characters and Eresh would be with me in the game longer than Euram.  However, Euram is hilarious and I kinda want to recruit him just to see what happens later in the game.  Any suggestions anyone?
I recently saw finally some cutscenes in the game that were great!
Code:
I knew Georg had a reason for killing the queen!  And I was right about Sialeeds being shady, damn her.  Fuck Dolph for stabbing Lyon. The whole time I was hoping she wouldn't die I don't think I could handle it.  Oh...and Roy definitely wants to get with Lyon lol

Also, still working on Persona 3...Just finished up summer school not too long ago.  I started a social link with the rival athelete.   I went to the festival with Yuko, so that was good.  I made my way to the 114th floor.  The boss on 110th floor kinda pissed me off, but I got through it.

Kstar:
Code:
Get Eresh. Euram is only an army unit and he's a terrible one at that.

Persona 3- On the verge of beating the September boss. Very ready for October.

Other Shit- I felt the need to buy a few fighting games recently, so I now own the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology and Street Fighter Anniversary (with SF3 and SF2). SF3 is ridiculously pretty, and I plan to spend a fair amount of time with it.[/code]

Persona 3- my social link with Keisuke in music club is at 9 and my social link with Yuko is at 8.
Code:
Yeah, dog!  Main made it into Yuko's bedroom!
I like music club and everything, but Keisuke's story isn't all that interesting.  Still, it's no surprise what his s-link arcana is.  I'm pretty much blowing off the French kid, because though he's a nice kid and all, he's clingy and annoying; his s-link arcana does yield some really good personas, though.  The game made me join his fashion club out of pity way back when.  I want to pursue the Kenji s-link further because
Code:
I'm flabbergasted that this idiot slacker dude managed to bag a teacher.

Otherwise, I'm still spending my October Tartarusing for the next boss on November 3.  I think I have all my bases covered with various personae.  And just for the hell of it, I fused another Kikuri-Hime, but this time with four elements: maragion, magarula, bufudyne, and mazionga.

Persona 3:

I beat the asshole boss...and then like the next three or four.  I fucking tore Tartarus up yesterday. :P

I just...

Code:
...got the completely unsurprising news that Ryoji = Pharos.  More importantly, I lost Aigis.  I hope it isn't for long, because she's my main physical damage dealer and I won't be able to function well without her.

I hope I get done with this ugly-ass block soon, but since Elizabeth's document quest doesn't run out for another couple of weeks, I'm gonna assume there's a lot left.

I'm on that casino-on-crack block of Tartarus too.  Plot twist preceding it was kinda lame, but everyone's reactions to it were done well.

Played Skies of Arcadia Legends last night for the first time in two weeks. I might beat this game by the end of the year at the rate I've been playing lately, and I'm around the halfway mark....

Persona 3:

I'm almost at the 60 hour mark, so this game has turned out to be another one that's way too fucking long.  I'm feeling that end-game vibe though, so it might not be too much longer.  I stopped on floor 236 and made some sexy awesome personae to plow through the rest of the game with.

Persona 3 - I hit an area where the regular monsters quite literally slaughtered my party in one turn, and avoided a complete route only by cheesing the encounter (they had only physical attacks, so I went with a persona that blocked physical attacks).  I'm kind of sad because my favorite social link is over and done with, and I'm not going to make any sort of progress in most of the remaining social links by the end of the game.

Odin Sphere - Finally beat Valkyrie's scenario...and put the game aside when I found out the next character starts in the most annoying area so far.  Still a fun game, but it almost seems like Vanillaware revels in a cruel game design.

Wild Arms 5 - Went another couple hours into the game and still had quite a bit of fun.

So being the pervert I am, I had to get the latest Growlanser title since Urushihara artbook=I'm there.  And yes, that was well worth the price of purchase on its own for me, as I figured.  The other goodies were pretty neat too.  As far as the game, despite looking like a bad PS1 game in terms of its production values, it's been fairly interesting, though the difficulty has been extremely inconsistent at a couple hours in (whatever it is since the game doesn't seem to have an ingame clock -_-).  I can tell Urushihara must have had a blast with the design for the female characters, since they're a bit more daring than other Growlanser titles.

One thing I definitely don't like about the game: it has a very misleading open-ended world that is in fact very constricted in linearity, just like the Magna Carta PS2 game.  Proverbial plot boulders are bad enough, saying I can't go somewhere just because is just stupid.

As far as the localization goes I'm pretty ambivalent so far since there are a couple strange blips in the audio, which I believe is the first time I've heard any in a game (well, other than one time I got some dust on another game, but that could be fixed).  On the other hand, the dialogue doesn't seem to be as ridiculous as it was in the Japanese version, so I guess that's a plus.

Well after beating Super Paper Mario-- or any game for that matter-- I kinda get lost and aimless and don't know which game to tackle next.

I tried to get back in the swing of Valkyrie Profile 2 and am 9 hours in. I finally figured out why I wasn't able to forge items at the store (duh, sell the parts to the store first, thank you instruction booklet). Just been running around and fighting until I can battle with ease at the lake temple and mine stages that just opened up on the map. And I'm finally grasping the battle system a lot more, which I'm realizing is a very deep battle system when you put it all together. Well, maybe more specifically the item/skill customization in the game seems more sophisticated than other games I've been playing lately. I feel like I have to keep track of a lot of things... I don't know. It's somewhat daunting.

I'm still also chipping away at godforsaken Grandia 1. Bleh, I really don't think this game has aged very well. 40 hours in and I'm pretty sure I'm close to the end. I just want to get it over with, but my copy is prone to freezing up so it's a little aggravating.

Annnnnd I'm playing some Twilight Princess now on the Wii. Well, watching/helping my significant other play it. I end up having to figure out the puzzles for him -_-

The more I play of it, the more engrossed I become. Just beat Phase 1 of Ar tonelico and started phase 2 but haven't had a chance to play since Friday night.
