I watched Dead Poets Society. I like this movie...quite a bit. But I think there is a few fundamental things wrong with it.
- Robin Williams was the best actor, hands down... a shame too, since it really isn't his movie.
- IMO, this movie would have been better if it stuck to the boys; but we get 2, 3 characters only partially examined as the rest served as fodder
- The suicide was a biggie. Again, I feel the movie could have been better played with elements about the whole "carpe diem", the last half hour is extraordinarily dramatic for a school story
School hijynx are always fun; I'm always surprised to see how this movie tackles the issue.
