I just came back from Pacific Rim 3D.  I had a great time watching this flick and especially liked the music.

Pacific Rim! In 3D! And it was great! My inner 12 year old was geeking out!
My inner 18 year old was humming the Evangelion theme to myself during some of the battles!

I like how it's got that "inner Japanese soul".

...missle?  WEAK.
SWORD?  OHKO.
Hey, the cute asian girl doesn't get groped by a tentacle or wear the schoolgirl outfit...japanese soul my ass.

No, they just got her in a plug suit which is almost right up there with those two.

I just watched G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Corny..yes. Better take on the source material than those God awful Transformers movies..absolutely!. Nothing better than a good Snake Eyes vs. Storm shadow fight:).
Now if only Gargoyles got a movie..

Actually, I found the movies take on her refreshing. She wasn't used as bait, like females all too often are, and she wasn't there just be to be the token attractive female. In no way was she ever dressed provocatively, either. I have no clue what you're talking about in regards to her "plug" suit.
Oddly enough, the only sexual gaze type stuff was of the male nature, with the  camera seeming to dig the male lead with his shirt off.

Have you never seen Evangelion?  I mean, I don't even like Evangelion, but at least I know what a plug suit is! ;)

When I say "plug suits", I'm referring to a skin tight, form fitting, body suit used by giant robot pilots in anime since Neon Genesis Evangelion (it should be noted that sometimes plug suits also include breast plates for the occasional socket to plug into).

I notice a few of you are planning to see Pacific Rim twice.  The last time I saw a movie in theaters twice was Slumdog Millionaire.  First time I went by myself and the second time I saw it with my mom.  If a friend wanted to go see it, I'd gladly see it again with said friend.

I saw Iron Man 2....three damned times.  It's a problem having friends in different groups.

I love to rewatch movies and I love the theatre experience, so if I have the chance I definitely watch things I love more than once. Having different groups of friends helps.

The ones that stand out are Black Swan three times, LotR RotK four times, Avengers two-and-a-half times and Die Hard every single Christmas for 4 or 5 years.

Well the plug suits were pretty genderless at least, even if they were tight.
Hey, at least it wasn't a face palm inducing underwear scene like ST Into Crapness.

I did watch some Evangelion quite a while back. I have a horrible memory, though, and didn't recognize the term.
