Donnie Darko- First time watching it. I really liked it, even if it confused the heck out of me. Need to hunt down the director's cut now to see what they added.

I still haven't seen this.

Gran Torino.  That was the best movie I've seen in quite a while.

Ditto on this one. It was very, very good. Definitely not the kind of movie I was expecting.

I watched Let the Right One In and Amelie yesterday and today. Both were really well done, and Amelie has to be the cutest movie I've seen a long time. It was a feel good movie, but without becoming saccharine.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Good, fun movie. I liked it a lot.

Drag Me to Hell - I thought it was decent, but certainly not as amazing as everyone was making it out to be. Pretty basic horror film, really. Maybe I've just seen too many damn horror movies.

edit: oh yeah...I continue to watch BSG as well. I'm on season 3 now. Waiting for disc 2 to show up.

I watched "Defiance" last night and it was better than I expected. I also watched "Loser" which I've never seen before and "Reign Over Me" for a second time.

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. Solid thriller with good performances.

I finally got around to watching Hellboy 2 the other day.  While it's still a far cry from the awesomeness of the comic, I thought it was pretty good.  I like the actor who portrayed the bad guy.

Cujo - I haven't seen it since I was a little kid and it was still good. The book, of course, is far superior.

Defiance - I thought the movie had some pretty good performances and a decent cast, but the emotional moments fell flat in my opinion. It just didn't inspire me like it was trying to. The action scenes are well done though and like I said the performances are generally pretty good, but I can't fully recommend it when it doesn't accomplish what it set out to do.
