Thought it was about time someone started this thread (since adventure games like Zelda/Bioshock seem to be kosher on this forum).

I'm actually really enjoying this. I was very skeptical because I had my problems with Echoes, but this is great. Strangely, it feels the most like Hunters (which I didn't like) but is actually a GOOD GAME! I still think that the NPCs get in the way of the whole "one women, alone, against the world" feel that Metroid has been famous for. But most of the time, I find myself able to forget about it.

Thankfully, it feels a lot more like Metroid Prime 1 than Echoes. The big epic music is back, and they've returned to the "etherial sci-fi journey" feel, instead of the "bleak sci-fi survival horror" feel.

What are other peoples' reactions?

Metroid isn't a RPG.

"I felt a nameless dread. Well, there probably is a long German name for it, like Geschpooklichkeit or something, but I don't speak German. Anyway, it's a dread that nobody knows the name for, like those little square plastic gizmos that close your bread bags. I don't know the name for those either."
