It's Japanese TV. WTF did you expect? On one hand, it's very fucking awful. On the other...some of the it is oddly entertaining.
And BTW, I have seen shit far FAR worse.

#1 show in the tokyo area, just guessing. It's hillarious but for all the wrong reasons.

The ultra-commercialism of Morning Musume disgusts me. I have no problem with other "created" bands, like Spice Girls or Backstreet Boys (well, no problems except that I think their music is abmyssal), but something about how Morning Musume changes members every year, just to give the fanboys something new to oogle, is kind of creepy.
But yeah, those videos are kind of funny. I always knew the japanese hade some kind of unhealthy obsession with cats (catgirls, anyone?), but that is just insane.

Morning Musume is evil, I hate them. That said, I do like the video where they're all chased around mercilessly by Bob Sapp.

Fanboys eh? Wanna know whats really creepy? A few years back I was dating this Japanese girl, and I asked her what was up with this group. She told me all about them but the part that really distrubed me was their fanbase is mainly married men in thier 40's and 50's.....creepy.

Well, I don't believe the term fanboy actually implies any specific age range. But 40+ yeard old men being into Morning Musume? Yeah, that's pretty damn creepy as hell.
But hey, I guess they need some way to live out their weird sexual fantasies now that they
can't buy soiled panties in vending machines
any more.
Yes, I know that link is old as hell, but I still find it enormously amusing.

I have a feeling I'm lucky in the fact that I don't get it.
Thank God.

So honestly now, does anyone know the actual concept behind the show?
Or is it just random crap like that all the time?
