Hi everyone!
I haven't played the series yet and in Europe part I wasn't even released. Therefore to my question:

Do you transfer any savedata from part one before you begin part II and also from part II to III? Or can I jump between NTSC and PAL-versions without missing out on anything? Thanx in advance! Sincerely...

The only thing that gets transferred over is some easter eggs, like characters' swimsuits.  There's no additional story/meaningful content unlocked by transferring over completed save data.

Ok, first I must thank you for your concern in my matter. But I'm a little confused now. How are the swimsuits important? For certain events or just as fashion accessories?

You get a few skill points in XSII if you use a save from 1 I believe.

Shig's just being a jackass as usual.  The swimsuits are good for shits and giggles once in a while (it is funny seeing characters doing battles in swimsuits) but I think it's pretty stupid.  

Look, don't worry about transfer data.  You won't miss out on anything important story-wise if you don't transfer your data over from one game to another.

On a serious note, however, the swimsuits give a nice AGI bonus for your characters towards the beginning of the game, so it's like definitely usable gear.

Man, I think for XSII the save may be worth it for the skill point boost. Still though, I dunno what they did for the Pal version. It could be that you get them by default since the game kinda didn't get it's prequel over there.

My missus and I have had issues with transferring save data from an NTSC save to a PAL game and visa versa.  In fact, it can result in corrupted data.  I think we lost a few saves that way actually...
