Destructoid link with scans.
DoubleJump made the guide, but they must've been rushed or something because
it gets pretty embarrassing.

That's pretty fucking fancy for a reviewers guide. We get one for a few games (XSEED is nice enough to send one with every game), but they tend to be either 20 pages of pure text or a PDF file on a disc; never have I seen one that's full color.

What sort of stuff is in a review guide? I looked at the scans and it looked like nothing more than a slightly deeper manual. Is it just stuff that you might not figure out by yourself, or other stuff that goes into a review that I have no clue about? I'd be curious to know what goes into a 20 pg text document.

Dear Factor 5:
How about next time you design a game that doesn't need six pages devoted to how to control it?
Kthnx.

It really depends on the game. Some are full walkthroughs (the ones we get from XSEED are like this), others are little more than glorified instruction booklets. Sometimes we just get PDFs of the instruction booklets (Square does this).
Preview copies will often come with bug lists telling us what we shouldn't do, else the game will crash.
Just as an example, I found my Dungeon Maker review guide; the first two pages are general tips about how to succeed in the game, after that, it's fifteen pages describing all of the quests; where you get them, how to complete them, etc.
