Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

Dragon Quest VIII
Wild Arms: Alter Code F
Wild Arms 4

And I'm pretty sure I finished Magna Carta in '06. No promises, though.

I conquered Suikoden III with all 108 stars of destiny. It turned out nice in the end and lately it has been giving me an urge to run through II a 3rd time.

Just beat Dragon quarter.

So many things to like about this game, but so many things about this game that make you want to smash the disc into tiny pieces.

Hey Sketch - You finished Magna Carta in '05.  I remember since you finished it before me and I completed it last year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My List:

WA:ACF
WA4
Phoenix Wright
DDS2
ToL-  This game isn't as bad as it I thought it would be based on many reviews I read before playing.  The voice acting is really good.  Though I didn't like Moses's VA since I'm from the South and I hate when Southern people are portrayed as being dumb as dirt.  Anyways, the characters for the most part are extemely likable.  The game is very humorous and quite lengthy.  The first part of the game (the main quest) wasn't as good as the character quests, IMO.  By the time you hit the character quests, you'll be emotionally invested in the characters and will want to see their stories unfold and wrap up.  I got teary eyed during some of the character quests.  As for the ending, it was actually good.  I've been disappointed in endings lately and with the whole second half of the game being like a long epilogue, I felt satisfied by the time the credits rolled.

Oh yeah.  I should add that an annoyance of the second half is that you have to walk out of the dungeons you already visited in the first half.  It would have been more convient if you would warp out.  Also the battle system isn't that great so if you are like me, you'll be using holy bottles like crazy so you won't get into as many encounters.    So in summary,  character development: good;  battle system: bleh.

I agree with you, CluelessWonder. I just beat ToL all the way through and I was abusing those holy bottles as much as possible. I really dislike having to backtrack through dungeons I've been through before and ToL was no exception. I prayed after every cutscene when I hit the back of those dungeons during the character quests that it'd warp me out. No! Of course not!

Another thing that bothered me is that after you finish the main story, there is very little voice acting for the character quests. Since the first half was very chatty, it felt odd to go from that to complete silence. The Japanese version had complete voice acting, so what gives?

Otherwise, it was a decent game, but it isn't one of the better 'Tales of' games for me.

The only game I've completed so far in '06 is SMT: Nocturne, and I'm about 30odd hours into DQVIII. I have no idea how long the game is, so I don't know how much I have yet to go, but I tend to meander along, so probably a lot.

I have beaten Final Fantasy VI (about time) and I suppose Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance counts as well.

Goddamn, those games were awesome.
