Screw Days of our Lives... RPGfan's been the best soap opera ever.  I'm still amused whenever I think about how the more Sumire would flame a guy, the more obsessed and "in love" with her he'd become.

Wow, congrats RPGFan! I started coming here in July of 2001, so I guess that means I've been round these parts for just over six years now.

It still pains me to say that I once went by the username "Fenix Down."

I miss Vil and Tony.

I miss Galactic, too, although he still posts every now and them.

I feel like such a noob compared to all of you. I joined right before the board wipe, and I remember that I freaked the fuck out when everything went to hell. Lets just say that I had never seen Tub Girl before.

Haha, Dade was the best with tub girl.  I'm not positive, but I think I joined the boards in April of 2001.  So been around for about 6 years now, on and off.  I've also suffered through an FFXI and a WoW addiction for half of those 6 years, so I probably didn't post a whole lot during those times.  I remember back in the day when most people didn't like me, but I guess if you stick around long enough people eventually stop caring.  It was fun back when we had a lot of n00bs joining the boards, like Oceania.  I've also had the experience of playing MMO's with many board members.  FFXI had a pretty strong linkshell here on the RPGFan boards and that was some of the best times I've had with an online RPG.

superflat, RPGfan has suffered many a board wipe.  

Anyway, I'm starting to realize why I like Soul Nomad so much.  Gig, the self-proclaimed "most hardcore asskicker to ever walk this planet" talks like folks akin to Tony, Dade, etc., while Danette is the phenomenally stupid punching bag who has to endure the vitriol.  At least Danette admits she's dumb in the beginning of the game, which is more than I can say for some of the past punching bags.    

Gig says stuff like "No, your problem is that you're a retard" or "God, I can't put up with such idiocy.  It makes me want to punch kittens."  Tony and company have said these, and similar, phrases often enough before.

I've been playing some FFX and as I was doing so, I started to reminisce about how General Mortars used to refer to Kimahri as "useless kitten" and referred to Rinoa as "ugly cow."  

And, well, I hated Rinoa too and I agree that Kimahri is a useless kitten.

He was. For the Zelda vs Tifa deathmatch we had he drew a "quick sketch," as he called it, of Tifa kneeing Zelda in the stomach. I still have it saved on my hard drive.
