I was pretty sure this would happen, but I'm pretty excited now that it's definite :)

Never finished Okami on PS2, so I'll definitely pick this up.

I haven't finished it, and... Meh. I was interested in Wii controls for RE4 but never actually got it, as much sense as it'd seem for Okami given the painting mechanic I'd rather just finally wrap up my initial game. In fact, I'd say 480p/Widescreen would be more appealing than a new control scheme.

Wait... I'm confused, if Zelda doesn't go here, why does Okami, which is more of an RPG than Zelda? I didn't even think to check here, as all previous Okami topics were in the Console RPG forum. Are we getting stricter about placement?

Every topic we've ever had about Okami has been right here.

Oh boy, let's not get onto another "is Zelda an RPG?" tangent please.

I'm glad to hear it will be coming to the Wii, but I won't repurchase it simply for new controls. If Capcom were to add more content I would consider it, but I find that unlikely since Clover was killed.

No, it seems like Zelda is safe. It seems to have somehow gotten special privilage, while everything else remotely similar is automatically labeled "Not RPG".

Personally, I think games like recent Castlevanias, Zelda, and Okami would all be borderline cases that fit equally well in both, especially since most publications, developers, and publishers kinda take an 'eh, whatever' approach to this. With that said, what might be an amusing way to completely destroy this arguing is to just merge Console/Computer RPGs and Misc into one forum. There's going to be NO arguing about what is/isn't an RPG when it's going to go in the same forum either way.

I agree completely, Eusis. In fact, I had a second part of my post that mentioned that, but I'm trying to cut down on my post length these days, so I took it out. Glad we agree.

No. I made the call when I started the topic to place it in Misc. Games, rather than Console RPGs, because it's not *really* an RPG, and thought it would be better placed here. And because I figured one of the mods would grind my tits for putting it in the wrong place.

Better safe than sorry.
