Yeah, that KI thing is a joke.  I'm somewhat interested in the new Blazblue.  I picked up CS: Extend to recently for cheap to get familiar with the game and I'm having a lot of fun.  The series has come a long way since the first Blazblue - which was ass.

I get it's pre-alpha, but that looks really fucking stupid.  It's like they saw Divekick was about to make some decent money and wondered how they can cash in as well.  I can at least buy into the idea that Divekick teaches newcomers about spacing.  This wouldn't teach you anything about ground game that any other Street Fighter wouldn't.

welp Guilty Gear fans, seems like Xrd is a long way off

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/06/18/guilty-gear-xrd-sign-is-gearing-up-to-be-a-next-generation-game/

and I don't know about that. The thing new players seem to love doing most is just to keep jumping in, taking that option away might force them to progress their ground game a lot more. Low level street fighter is usually about gimmicks and finding that first order optimal strategy(a phrase from penny arcade tvs extra credits). This game basically makes you focus on ground game, spacing and normals.

I really don't have a money for a PS4 so it'd better be PS3/4. Well, I've waited 10 years for a proper sequel I can wait a little longer. Especially since we have much more to see from Xrd.
Also since I last posted - Guilty Gear update: I totally main Venom. Playing with those pool balls and controlling space is too much fun. I really wish he had better ways of dealing with pressure though.

When did this turn into the generic fighting game thread?  I mean, there was even a thread of Guilty Gear Xrd already...

-I am not surprised that GGXrd is next gen.  I thought the graphics looked too nice and a definite step up from Blazblue (which looks fine).  Not real surprised there.

-You are right about the jumping part.  Generally is bad news in street fighter, less so in other games.
