- Since everything is random, well, sometimes the enemies are way too tough for you.
- Having ten NON-MAGIC SWORDS.
- Graphics are crap!

- dont use the trademark of the series= srpg with regular rpg gameply.
- it too easy to get lost in the fucking duungeon
- your guys can't even promoted.
- nor the game has the challenge that you need it

- start to show the uneven quality syndrome that the series is suffring from as whole (sh1-2-3 great- shining for the ps2 sucks...)

Okay. Shining in the Darkness was not a strategy game. Shining Force was. We know this. Now stop complaining about a game lacking elements from its parent series that didn't even exist when said game came out.

Also, Terranigma was already done. Did anyone do... Hm... Live a Live or Bahamut Lagoon?

Whoa! Unfair treatment of Shining in the Darkness. Whether you like it or hate it, it deserves a little more attention that that. I'm redoing it.

+Excellent dungeon layouts with lots of difficult twists and turns (plus excellent gimmicks like the rotating squares). It's all very tricky and very fun.
+Cartoon style was well realized and pretty interesting, especially some of the monster designs which were stylish and unique. The party members were equally lovable.
+Challenging combat encounters throughout with enough variety in the monster types and abilities to keep it interesting. There is lots of variation between the monster encounters on a floor to floor basis too.

-Your characters' roles in the party are basically decided for you. There is no customization or player controlled development.
-The frequency of combat encounters was not only tedious at times, but also wrecked some of the game's atmosphere. It's hard to feel like you're treking through a mysterious ancient castle/cave when you are being slammed by monsters at every turn.
-One town one dungeon formula is limiting to the game's narrative scope. There is much less of a sense of epic adventure as a result.

True, and it's not the most skillful rap, but I like it for what it is. Persona 3 is the only RPG in which I recall there being vocalized music used as standard background music. I kinda liked that.
