Help me please.  I have a file that I was downloading and stopped.  I thought I deleted it, but I didnt and ended up moving it on to my external hard drive.  The problem is that I can't delete it at all but anytime I go into that folder, it completely bogs down my system.  It slows it down to the point where it's almost impossible to use, and then I have to restart my computer..  Everytime I try it tells me the file is being used by another program.  I've tried restarting the drive and my computer.  I've tried opening and then closing the file. Nothing works.  Anyone know a way I can permanently delete this file?

Can you reboot in Safe mode, open up a DOS window and delete the file from there?  Seems like that'd avoid the problem of system slowdown, since it wouldn't be trying to show you the contents of the folder.

No expert, just an idea.
